Cool tip I never thought of that, KZbin should even have a feature to mute background music. Awesome Tutorial Chad I had to go back to it because I forgot how to mask part of the imperfection ;)

how are you isolating the textures so quickly? what's the shortcut?
@scheerlon3 жыл бұрын
you need to create a shortcut for that. Go Window > Customization > Customize Commands (or press Shift + F12), search for "connect node to output" and bind it to whatever you like (i got ctrl+shift+C)

Around minute 3, you talk about confusing terminology on RS Change Range. It seems RS uses "old" and "new" instead of "input" and "output" because input already has a shader graph meaning, related to wires. Two different uses of "input" would also be weird. This is a great tutorial. Thank you.

hugely helpful...quick question: I'm using Maya and it doesn't seem that the RS Ramp or RS change range is available in that program. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

How would you combine two different surface imperfection grayscale image textures? Which node would work?
@Greyscalegorilla9 ай бұрын
Try using the color layer node to combine two imperfections.

Hey Chad, what kind of render times can I expect in detailed scenes with dual 2080ti cards. Or is it not worth trying to render myself and use an online render farm? Confused how freelance 3d designers operate
@manuelmzeller3 жыл бұрын
I am using a setup with two rtx2080 Ti and i am doing most of my work inhouse without renderfarm… it all depends what kind of work you are doing- i am mostly doing under 10sec long motiongraphic or product animations.. rendertimes are usually between 30s-2min (sometimes even less) per frame depending on the scene. Dont expect to use the setup for animated movies though

I have dual 2080tis as well. For a detailed (usually not so optimized) scene I can get the render times down to 1min(ish) per frame. I typically have 3 shot 240 frame renders which is about 12hours total. Just let that stuff render overnight and for anything longer let it render over a weekend. Just make sure there is nothing flammable behind your pc.
