"It's not obvious at first glance, but Grid Legends is a definite step up from Grid 2019, with a bigger collection of circuits, more race types, and some extremely clever hop-in multiplayer. It's not a dramatic leap, though, particularly as the reused car roster grows stale and the customisation options tread water. Still, this brand of accessible racing action remains high on contact and high on excitement, and the fact that the live-action, documentary-style story can harken all the way back to 2002's TOCA Race Driver is a cute and effective flex for a racing series with such history."

On the flipside, for sales purposes it's better it was released before and not same-day or after. Some people might be itching for a new race game and don't want to wait another week gt7. You never know, Grid could end up scratching that itch for them

The race game reviews from IGN are always excellent. Having a specialized reviewer who is knowledgable about the genre and that can give deeper insight to the game is always a nice bonus

As an avid racing gamer, i'm certainly having fun with improved driving mechanics of Grid Legends. It's not an excellent game but a solid racing game for racing game lovers.

Sad to say the Dirt Rally titles are the only modern Codemasters games with a decent driving model. Dirt 5 and Grid 2019 felt so unnatural to me

The first grid on Xbox 360 had the best drift action I've ever played on a console and I'm disappointed no other Grid games have a drift compertishion at all. Grid 2 on Xbox 36O didn't have it ethier. If you played grid one back in the day salute

I've never played a game that had better drifting than the first GRID, maybe Pro Street for the smoke effects but GRID's drift gameplay was amazing.

@@NavyGuy2OO7 it's definitely worth it, if you want to Toca feel, turn the difficulty to Legendary, it will remove all assists, and if the AI is too difficult, you can adjust that difficulty seperate.

Codemasters has had the majority of the Driveclub team for a few years now & is still yet to utilise them properly. I'm not saying 'give us Driveclub 2' but surely they could do something similar but even better. First thing they need to do is get them to work on a new graphics engine.
