These aren’t “harsh” corrections they learned today. These are basic correcting methods for DOGS. That’s the problem with most trainers or owners - they tippy toe with a lot of useless “training & correcting” that do not work, because dogs need very direct and timely intervening & correcting with a clear message of what you want or expect from them. They learn quick, and everything else falls into place. Another great session with DD.

I think positive reinforcement only goes so far. You absolutely have to use corrections to re direct their behavior. I’m by no means an expert. I still have so much to learn when it comes to my 8 month old Shepard mix. Mostly patience. 🤷🏻‍♂️

People who think Augusto is "harsh", possibly, have never seen a mother animal wean her babies herself. It also looks harsh - and, in a way, it is - but the baby's get it - and quickly. That's the nature of the process.

Hi, I love your videos and the way you understand dogs and communicate with them. One question. Do you train a young puppy the same way as adolescent or adults? I mean they’re often more active, curious and out of control than older dogs. Have you any tips for teaching the right behaviors from the beginning? I always had dogs as a child, I mean my parents did. They did a good job, we had big ones (a big schnauzer, a Bern mountain dog, a drathart)and they were quite well behaved. I plan to get one myself and I would like to make things well from the start.

How do you stop dogs from fighting in the same house.i have 4 now that do this.2 they will be playing cool & then boom fighting bloody.some will lay in the middle of the walk way & not let the other s go by if they do they attack & some just start the fight s.some came to me as abused inbreed rescues & others i bottle feed when they didn't even have thier eyes open yet.?
