Its cartoon logic. Besides I don't blame Apple jack for being mad if that paint didn't wash off it could be a total loss of apples/bits for the family. Even then the paint could make those inedible if it was the wrong kind of paint. Not all paint is edible. I'm hoping at least pinkie pie knows that and took it into account. Also good point about her having to pick them to throw them..... but wouldn't one agitated applebuck bring a lot of them down? If not cartoon logic.

And as crazy as it is, because Gilda was trying too hard, I asked myself, "well, why is she trying so hard to be 'cool'?" At first it seems like she wants to impress Rainbow Dash, but she also acts like a jerk when she is alone with Pinkie Pie. So again, why? Then I came to the conclusion that deep underneath all that attitude is a softer side that has always been a part of her personality but she learned growing up that that part of her is frowned upon and wouldn't get her anywhere.

It's so much fun returning to Josh's reviews in particular just because his style is so honest, he knows the difference between good and bad writing, he clearly likes the show but doesn't tolerate when it does something bad or annoying, it's the perfect example of a fair review, the good is good and in this case the lame is LAME!

Actually, I think the reason that "Bad Girl Gilda" seems forced is because Gilda herself is forcing it to hide the fact that she herself is "lame". She thinks this because in Griffinstone, you're only as important as the amount of bits you have, so she probably gets ignored a lot and made fun of for trying to make friends in Griffinstone. She's probably insecure and that's probably the biggest reason she puts on this act. I got convinced about this when Doctor Wolf made that whole anger management video that actually had Gilda in it

No no the scene with applejack and the painted apples did make sense...here: Dash and Pinky painted the apples in watercolor paint, AppleJack didn't realize this and thought they'd painted them with actual paint which would be poisonous and thus ruined her entire crop, understandably mad she chased them away. But when one apple hit the water and the paint washed off she realized it was only watercolors and thus only a harmless prank and her apples were fine.

I agree that the episode was only okay, and that the episode is not B or even C material. On a side note the phrase "you're not Joshing" is pretty much a historical reference from the 1800s where a man used the new nickel (it had a V on the back with no cent sign or anything) to buy things from shops and since the gold $5.00 coin was still in use people would give him $4.95 in change. So that's where the phrase "You're Joshing me" came from!
