@@bobhealey1365 Oh don't misunderstand, I still like it and will buy when on the market. If just for the cleaning of grates and kettle. It is also really cool. Troy - Love your videos. Thanks for being real in your chats. I feel like we are just sitting around hanging out. I know this is off topic, but I have question about smoking a turkey. I have smoked a turkey breast several times and the meat has always been delicious. I have a WSM. I usually inject and then put a nice rub on the turkey. Then cook it around 200 until it is done. My question is, how do I keep from making the skin rubbery? I hope to hear from you! Cheers from Oklahoma!!!
@TROYCOOKS5 жыл бұрын
Hey Daron, thanks for the kind words brother! You can scrape the fat layer off the inside of the skin or just finish cooking Turkey at 325-350 to crisp up the skin at the end of the cook. I usually smoke until the internal temp is about 135 and then crank up the heat to crisp the skin.

Ash come naturally as the burn, THe coals will be fully lit in under a minute, then as you watch them burn, they will ash over later as the charcoal is consumed.

@@TROYCOOKS thsts pretty not bad, i spend more time filling up my chimney and getting the cubes touched off... this is on my Christmas list. Thanks T-Roy

T-roy, you have a lot of good helpful videos & I have learned so much. There's nothing better then a low & slow brisket but I definitely need a better carving knife. Can you do a video on what knife you recommend for cutting brisket?

at $140 a gun a little pricey, I got a similar torch at Harbor Freight for $30 for weeds, hooks to a propane tank, powerful

Could I use this to solder metal for jewelry? It adjusts just like a butane torch. Anyone know?

@@TROYCOOKS This is the first time I've seen one of these, it looks well built too. I'll have to look into it. It was hard to see from the video, but how long does it take to light up the charcoal? All the best to you, I hope you enjoy your gun and BBQ season!

@@GreatestEmperorOfTheSeas The charcoal will get plenty ashed up after just 30-45 secs, hot enough to begin grilling burgers and stuff. Check out some of the videos on the website for the Grill Gun. I put the link in the description. Lots of great info about the gun on that page.

Hi! ☺ That's Awesome. I know someone that lights their woodstove with something similar; a regular torch connected to a 20 pound tank. 😄😄That attachment is adorable!! Thank you for sharing! 👍👍Happy Firing!! Happy Videoing!! ☺☺😎😎

Fun video Troy. That is a neat little unit for sure, and a hat tip for the guy trying to get this off the ground. Wish him all the success. With that said, let's be brutally honest, the price is way too high just to light a fire. Almost every one has propane tank and a regular weed burner is under $20.
@bobhealey13655 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and please share it on social media. BTW I've been using a $20 weed torch for over a decade too, but last year I finally decided to design a real torch. Read about what makes the GrillGun so much better in the Technology section of the website GrillBlazer.com. You'll be surprised... promise. Troy isn't kidding when he says he wants one. It is that much better.

I hear ya Joe, but the feel of a gun in your hand that shoots fire is priceless brother!!! I had so much fun using the Grill Gun!!! Heck, I may get two so that I have one for each hand! I bet that would be really cool looking at night!!!!!! LOL Cheers to ya brother!! Hope to see you again soon Joe!

Indeed looked like a fun gizmo to wield Troy, who doesn't t like to throw flames. As you know the weed burner here gets a work out starting the logs we toss in the Sloppy Jalopy. Have a great weekend Troy, tell Karen we say hi.
