The middle hole on the top of the grill is for the extra long screw that goes in to stop it from opening so much I'm not sure if you figure that out yet or not but I figured I'd tell you

Interesting solution for a boat grill. The outside mounting could maybe be a little dangerous and cause some pirates doing a drive by and stealing your food :)

A boater who love boat! I used to own 5 boats in Singapore but I had sold all! Why? Too much restrictions and not much good fishing place to go! Maintenance of a boat is expensive with no return! I had lost more than a million in boating! I am happy now because I ride on friend boat with zero headache!

Where does the grease go? I have heard that some of these grills leak grease onto the side of the boat. Is this true?

yes they do but if you lean it a little it wont get on the boat

I use a lighter, cheaper and I honestly don't think it would last because saltwater damages metal and electricity really badly.

I have to tell you I never liked those magmas..they are so dam noisy and really never get hot enough for my taste..they make a square one though that’s much more conventional and sits on your rail...but nice job they are not cheap man for the size your getting .they dam sure better last more than 5 years..lol
