I mention in the video that the grates I used were in terrible shape. You can see the difference on the side by side comparison. I know it's by no means perfect but I did this to show that it does make a difference. If I used a mildly dirty grate, of course it would wipe clean. Most people don't let their grates get this bad. In this scenario, I need to use a degreaser to help restore them after brushing. But once they're in normal shape, using this brush will do just fine. I'm surprised it got as much off as it did for how bad the grates were crusted over. And of course a stiff metal bristle will have more of an effect. There's going to be a compromise somewhere. But more people are weary of using bristle brushes these days. - Sam

I was disappointed in the product. It didn't clean very well and the head was difficult to remove. I felt that I was just as well off grabbing a wash rag with my grilling tongs and rubbing away. A better solution is grabbing a stainless steel scrubbing pad (not a soap filled one like Brillo) with your grilling tongs. No metal fibers and abrasive enough to get the grates clean.

Mine only came with the brush and handle, not the steel scraper. Why is that?

They make two versions. I forget the price delta but this one with the metal scraper costs a few bucks more. - Sam

How do you detach the brush head?

There are two small tabs/indentions on the sides that you press and it snaps in/out of place. It’s super easy once you find them. - Sam

How do you store the brush between uses? Will squirrels bother it if you hang it off the side of the grill?

I don't have an issue with squirrels really bothering my grill brushes in general. I keep my brushes in a bin that I sometimes leave under cover outside or in my garage. With this brush in particular, it needs to air dry and then be stored under some sort of cover. It's a cloth brush so if you leave it outside and it rains, it will be soggy and potentially get mold/mildew. If that happens, just wash it but would prefer to avoid that scenario altogether. - Sam

You can put it in the top rack of dishwasher. Not entire brush, just the brush head. - Sam

Yeah. From 2:10 to 3:15 we show it cleaning the grates. We shop some side by side with the grates on the right being clean and the left side dirty. - Sam

If what you showed is a clean grill I respect your point, but I can't entirely agree with it.Your grill was still dirty. I have a Grill Rescue and my grill looks clean compared to yours. @@justgrillin
