@@basicminiaturepainting I assume that you mean in the end because it sure was ugly before that 😁

The mini turned out really nice. How did you get onto oil paints for minis instead of the more common acrylic options? One of these days I feel I will have to give oils a go. My best bet might be to pick them up online or an art store

@@Svengar I have no real ide. Most likely some KZbin video but I cannot say for sure. I also know that time after time I find myself on the odd side of life as it seems that I just cannot stop exploring 😵💫

@@honestminis9530 It’s good to experiment and find what works for you. I’ve watched quite a few of your videos and you always achieve positive results despite the experimental approach. I had a long hiatus from painting until this year…probably at least 10 years. So much had changed since then like the addition of contrast paints which make life much easier. Lots of painting remains the same but rather than a flat base coat and some ink applied you can use a single contrast paint and then go back to the traditional highlights. I still put a flat base coat before some types of contrast as the effect differs quite a bit as to what is underneath the contrast paint. So amazing to think I have painted over 200 minis in around 6 months and that I have enjoyed every part of it. At that rate I could actually almost believe that one day I won’t have a pile of shame 😂

I used the term despite the experimental approach but really it could also be viewed as because of the experimental approach 😀. I always enjoy seeing how it is going to turn out
