My friends lived there in the early 70's, the house belonged to Philip Ahn, a popular Korean actor. The windows you are talking about are one large room, The kitchen had a red leather vintage crescent shaped booth and red formica table. There was a very large, heavy library table in the living room by the stairs. Many beautiful memories listening to lilting music from the Bowl. The elevator didn't always work, imagine carrying groceries. One neighbor was Adriana Caselotti, the voice of Snow White, we would visit with her.

So I've been in his childhood home, and it hasn't been updated at all since the late 80s and is still owned by his mom. I just went to see the outside of it but his uncle was there taking care of it and he took me on a tour and told me old stories of Kurt as a kid. Being a dad of a young boy now, those stories really got to me and reminded me that he was just a fucking dude like anyone else. That house had energy, had a power to it ... and right down the street basically next door is the infamous bridge that he used to hang out under. Yeah, it was one of the most incredibly odd days of my life, and it's something I'll always remember.

Just knowing you were in the place that Kurt Cobain once lived in has to be a remarkable experience. Someone should save it.

The fact that the french graffiti on the restroom under the stairs is almost 23 years gives you the sense of how much time the house it´s been abandoned

The house and its architecture alone is pretty amazing. To know that Kurt lived there gives my goosebumps.

Should be preserved as a museum. It would give me chills to be there and knowing Kurt was there, I would for sure cry. He was such an artist.

Weird ! The pictures overlay where they once stood / were is quite haunting ! I can’t help but feed sad watching this . I work in a horrible factory with no real future , and I sometimes struggle to understand why gifted people like these threw it all away

To be any place where Kurt Cobain lived and created is just wow!! It's like you can feel his presence there, even before you showed, then and now. So glad Scott was there with you to experience it all. So cool!!

What I wouldn't give to be able to fix that house up and create a beautiful space. Those windows are just screaming for someone to put an easel in front of and start painting.
