A few remarks: 1. Do IFF a few times, as much as 3 times. Also wait a few seconds for response. 2. A no-response (Brevity word for no IFF response: Spades) doesn't mean hostile, just unknown! 3. Use at least one other method (L16, A/A TGP, Raygun call, or AWACS declare), then you can consider it hostile. 4. There's currently (as of feb 2020) a bug in the Link-16 where the friendly/Foe colors change around wildly. Almost shot our tanker once because it showed red. See point 3.

Keep in mind the way IFF works now is that it required 2 factor-authentication. So just IFF alone is not enough, to have a contact qualify as hostile from the FCR ( Datalink hostile contact will always return as "unknown" ) then it need both IFF & NCTR

Wish looked at this earlier was on the server and got banned taking out a friendly aircraft , IFF kept showing unknown all other flights were green friendly tracked target from 80 to 40 to 20 to 10 and not once changed fired and ooops :(

from what i read the unknown contacts should display a yellow circle and not just nothing at all but its a nice temporary solution in the future you will be able to select the iff modes you want to interrogate or interrogate all automatically ,ffor example, the mnemonic below the bar elevation displays m4 scan as mode 4 scan, you can select multiple modes (m+ scan or los) and it will run through every single one of them aside from that, is it just me or the MFD look really dull and dark? the bullseye symbol is supposed to look bright cyan, and the HSD range rings should look blue but they are barely visible at all the basically look like black and white displays from a distance

My fcr is searching between ranges -99 and -99.. no matter How far or how close I search , it will stay the same .. any thoughts on that
