I found it pretty funny how you fold the empty feed sacks. I do the same thing too. I guess we suffer from OCD or something.LOL

Why is the bin fan at the top instead of the bottom blowing threw the floor never seen that in Illinois
@RuralMidwest3 жыл бұрын
That bin is a top dryer bin. Holds the grain in the top to dry then you drop slides and it falls into the bottom. It's a bad 70s design that was already on our farm when we bought it.

What is the liquid that is added at the begining?
@RuralMidwest5 жыл бұрын
That is Soybean oil, we add it as a binder, to suppress corn dust while grinding, and to give the corn a sweet smell for the calves.

Would peanut oil work too?
@shelbydavis33114 жыл бұрын
@@jameswest673 peanut oil is mighty high priced for feeding....a cheaper mixture might be actual soybeans,,they are naturally oily and would help suppress the dust of the corn

@Wendy Smith I have wanted to look into that for a few years now, but my father isn't a huge fan of the idea.

Easier to control the fat content of the ration by adding the oil back into the soybean meal
