Great video! I like the way you incorporate google maps and the history of the area you're camping in. I enjoyed the story combined with photos. Fendy was adorable in her rain gear. I was up in the peaks doing a solo camp last night which was wet the whole time. Had no wet gear either, wanted to remember what it was like in the military. Found a nice spot under a tree on a cliff side. Didn't see one person the whole time.

Another good hike. In the US we call fantastic lightning that comes and goes without thunder "dry lightning" because it doesn't rain, although there is storm-level lightning. Beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing a little of your family camping trip. Hi, Fendyl.

Lightning within clouds is relatively speaking quieter than that which strikes the ground, it still makes a sound but unless it’s above or close to you you’re unlikely to hear it.

You should head on out to East Anglia sometime. Supposedly there's a whole legendarium out that way. Maybe plug on down to Sussex and visit Epping Forest for a spookoi camp-out innawoods. Visit some historical spots around the country et al from the Vikingr days. More vikingr stuff on the 'tube is always welcome.

Too many comments to check so sorry if someone has already said this! Lightning with no thunder, means that the storm is too far away for you to hear the thunder. Thunder is caused by lightning so you can’t have one without the other. From memory it’s something like 12 miles away and you can’t hear it anymore.
