Kratos saving his son from drowning. This is the closest thing we get to a tribute in this game for someone who really deserved it. Shad Gaspard was a former WWE wrestler turned stuntman/actor. He worked on the 2018 God of War game providing some of the motion capture fighting, and they used scans of his for the in-game model of Kratos. In 2020 he took his wife and at the time 10-year-old son for a day at the beach after the covid lockdown had been lifted. Unfortunately, while swimming with his son they got caught in a riptide current that was pulling them from shore. A lifeguard responded and went towards Shad as he was closer to shore at the time. As the lifeguard approached Shad began yelling at him "Save my son! Save my son!" The lifeguard was able to secure the child, but as he turned to secure Shad a wave crashed over him and pulled Shad under the water. Tragically he never resurfaced, and the lifeguard was unable to locate him. His body was recovered two days later. Some of his former coworkers with the WWE and the company itself made lovely tributes to Shad a couple of years ago. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5-3qnRmZpebrbM kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5m3l3triJemr5Y RIP Shad Gaspard "...did what every father should do. Protect his child." -Kratos from God of War 3.
