hey! I've had lots of problems with hormones and used to do similar training in the gym as well as similar supplements. I realized that slowing down and doing less was really helpful with my overall "fitness" journey. Like going on walks, doing yoga, not forcing myself to go to the gym, taking a long break from weights. Sometimes when you do less, you can connect with your body more and really see what is going on. I tried so many supplements and different workout routines and the best thing I found was to just give myself a break and really listen to my intuition. Hope this helps:)

If you’re struggling in the recovery area, definitely look at your daily hydration and also consider deload weeks. Every 3-4 weeks, take a “down” week where you cut back on intensity (about 75% of your regular weight) and extra rest days. It’ll help with long term progression :)

Thanks as always for inspiring. I've been going to the gym 3 to 4 times a week since the beginning of March and these videos keep me focused! I agree with rest days and using days where you're doing body weight exercises or just band exercises. I can feel myself burning out if I just am constantly doing weights. Highly recommend gloves & a barbell cushion, they are GAME CHANGERS for gym weights 1. prevent calluses lol and 2. the cushion makes the barbell so comfortable.

omg your progress is so impressive!! I love hearing women say they want to push themselves, lift heavier and eat more.. because honestly, that's the only way your body will change. don't be afraid to lift heavy, especially lower body. I wouldn't be surprised if you could double your hip thrust weight to 80lbs.. or even more. legs can really take a lot of weight! good work!!

I can definitely relate to feeling low energy some days when sleep and nutrition are good. For me, it helps to track at my cycle. When I’m ovulating I can weight-lift around 40 lbs heavier than in my luteal and follicular phase bc of testosterone levels etc. I know you’ve been dealing with endocrine issues, so this may be different you and everybody really but I thought the info may be useful to you! ☺️

Try eliminating all the supplements you take out of your diet including vitamins, creatinine, milk thistle, and whey powder. They could be doing more harm than good. Try a food-only focused diet.

Considering she's in nutrition school and working with naturopaths, she likely has a good idea of what her body needs and what is doing her body good.
@schoolhousemodern3 жыл бұрын
@@Forever01294 the best thing to do would be to throw away all those vitamins and supplements and fire the naturopath. Vitamins and supplements are not benign and still have to be processed by the liver and kidneys. After all these years of taking supplements that haven’t seemed to help her with her chronic issues, perhaps it’s time to try a completely different approach, hopefully one rooted in science.

You’re not challenging yourself with the weights you’re using. You use the same amount of weight for bicep curls and hip thrust, look into progressive overload
