Both of em seem to work great, your commentary is legendary, no messing. you do some great shots at all of the ranges near and far. The projectile wobble during flight was good to see, as most people don't ever get to see that, and a lot of people just never clean their barrels believing that the fouling in the barrel improves accuracy rather than cause problems. Keep these videos coming, they are educational, and for new shooters who don't have a you tube channel invaluable teaching aids..

Great shooting ! I just received my first pcp a Hatsan Flashpup in .25 and can not wait to do some squirrel haunting but also pest and small game with occasional target shooting , I was amazed at the difference from the .177 to the .22 to the .25 not just size BUT the impact difference on squirrels just unreal .

Hunter One Dude that Sumatra shooting those slugs is absolutely devastating in .25 bro!
@EarthSurferUSA6 жыл бұрын
You did a vid a couple of years ago comparing a .22 to a .25 using H&N barracuda pellets. Here is an interesting test that people will love with those guns. Gas up each gun to make the same amount of energy measured, (35 fpe would be a good spot IMO), and calculated with a crony at 1 yard. Then shoot them through the crony at 50 yards, and I think people will be amazed to see how a heavier pellet retains so much more energy and speed down field. I saw a similar test, but the guy used to different brand pellets with different shapes. It showed a huge difference in energy at 25 yards, but the pellet choice made the test flawed.

@@HunterOne_Productions i wound up getting two .30 cals for the new years!...an fx boss and a w.a.r flex!! Thank you Hunter One for inspiring me to up my game!!! Now i gotta ask, with these calibers does one even bother with optics that focus down to 10 yards or would a scope that starts at 25 yards and up be a better choice?
@Tofazfou6 жыл бұрын
Another Classic H1! I LOVE ME SOME SLOW MO FOOTAGE! It makes both calibers look equally devastating. For me, either gun would do. Just keep doing what you doing and keep using what your using. I'll be staying "tuned" regardless. Tofazfou was here!

Another great video with some great and awesome shooting. I am partial to the 25's and that is only because I own 2 .25's ( the FX Bobcat MK 2 and the Marauder Gen 2 , I have others ) but those are the biggest calibers I own. Both are amazingly accurate, I have taken a lot of big game over the years and I have to tell you I really enjoy my air rifles. I also spend a lot of my time watching air rifle hunting videos, keep them coming.

Since both have about the same fpe, it comes down to shot count. The 25 cal 55 grain hollow point is heavy, and the 44.75 polymag is faster, which gives a flatter trajectory . The Hercules is heavier than the Sumatra, so it also comes down to if your shooting off a rest or standing . Both are very affective. You have to shoot at least a 30 cal to leagaly hunt big game in states that allow airgun hunting, so my choice would be the Hercules.

Makes me jealous of you guys who live farther west. Those ground squirrels are everywhere, even in the cities. They would be a blast to hunt. We have wood chucks out east, and if they see you coming within a hundred yards they are in their hole and they aren't coming back out any time soon. You get one shot so you better make it good.

Where I'm from out here in Rhode Island I would definitely prefer the Hercules but Where You Are I think the Sumatra is a far better choice those slugs can really Reach Out And Touch a squirrel's head from far away with so much more muzzle energy and you have to deal with all that wind out there but you are the expert I would like to have your opinion if you don't mind anyway some really good shooting and that dark music goes perfect
@HunterOne_Productions6 жыл бұрын
John M Personally for anything 75 yards and under, I prefer the .30 shooting Polymags. For 75 yards plus, the 55gr HP slugs out of the Sumatra a hard to beat. So I agree with you. Thanks for watching.

depending on what I'm hunting, if it were hogs then I'll probably use the Sumatra with those 55g .deer I'll use both & take a ear shot with those polymags in the 30cal..those 55g right between the eyes...those polymags have a soft tip so it's body shots were it's soft tissue..ill shoot a hog with them, abt an 1/2" or 1" under it's ear...both are good guns from what I've seen ..great video aka sniper man lol...that Hatsan look good, was the stock green ?
