Thank you, thank you thank you. As the practice ended I began sobbing. This got into a place I've been holding secret and apart because of some deep fears. I need to give myself enough love to make room for this every day. You shine a light.

Thank you Echo for this great combination of breath and movement. I really resonated with your affirmations at the end about cultivating a healthy body and mind so that we can absorb the lessons life has for us. Namaste 🙏

Thank you so much for your videos, I've been obsessed with your approach for quite a few months now and I feel I've learned to much! With things going back into lock down this brought me back and I so appreciate learning how caught my breath was and to be able to expand it. Merci!

I started crying at the end when our hands are at heart center, especially at the beautiful things you were praying and about our dreams and anxiety, fear, and sadness, I feel these things so deeply. I feel like "respiratory depression" is what I feel a lot of the time but more intensely when I am panicking or have strep throat (at the moment) and it this infection interferes greatly with my exhalations through my nostrils. But this sequence is very powerful to me with the breathing and moving fluidly, I feel really grounded, centered, and balanced at the end of this practice. Thank you so much, Echo ❤︎🜄☉☮︎Light and love

You mentioned shallow breath, is it possible to train to take longer breaths? I've done some practices where I am instructed to breath in for a certain amount of time, and even breathing slowly, can't breath in as long as the instructor. It is like my balloon fills up way quicker. Is it possible, even better, to increase that capacity?

There's a breathing exercise / technique called "crocodile breath." It stretches the insides of your abdomen / core / back, as well as (in my case) all of the tissues holding the ribs together, and even the stuff keeping the lungs stuck to the ribcage. it worked for me the first time I tried it. It's done lying on the belly. I also do a similar exercise lying on my back. Inhaling to 8 or nine was a challenge when I began practicing yoga. I've worked on long inhalations a lot since then, in many yin poses, and the longest I've been able to inhale was for a count of around 70.

My band instructor used to teach us to expand our lungs by having us inhale for 8 counts, hold it in for 8 counts, then exhale for 8 counts. As time went on he would increase to 10 then 15 counts. By the end of the year we were doing 20 counts. This helped me a Lot!
