Now I learned to buy F1 Hybrids. 'Rose of Spring and' Porcelain' are beautiful varieties. Hi from Germany.

Such informative video - new subscriber here! I planted my very first Ranunculus back in Nov and I had them in our loghouse during the cold snap in Dec. By the time I took them out, they were leggy 😩I guess there was was not enough light for them to photosynthesis. Took them out and watered them and I think I got a bit heavy handed with my watering (first timer's many mistakes ☹😢) Now, most of them have gone rotten and some wilting 😭😭I don't know if I can still save the rest - I put them out by the wall in our front porch to be protected from the wind. Do they need to be in direct sunlight? Also, what temperature is too low for Ranunculus for me to return it back indoors? TiA

As they have been in the wars I’d protect them from freezing temperatures. xxx

Hi Zoe, only recently found your channel and I’ve missed your seed sales 🙁 Your videos are wonderful, I’m trying to catch up with them all! Is your greenhouse heated? And is there any chance you could do a video showing how your beds are constructed with all the wire squares and what to use please? I’m just going to order your sow a long ebook 🙂 Thanks very much ❤

I haven't been able to find similar cells. They don't have enough holes. I have googled endlessly! Can you share where you buy them

Due to complete over excitement, I couldn't wait and sowed all of my corms as soon as they arrived...🤣. Today is day 11 and the first shoots have appeared! Porcelain first out of the blocks!🤸♀

Hi Zoe after googling a lot I have been unable to find 15 tray cells with more than one hole, or they don't give info on the drainage. Do you recall the make of yours?

Zoe have you noticed any difference in the speed of germination between the varieties? All but one of my Champagne are up now, but Marshmallow only popped it's first 2 thru yesterday, 23 days after sowing! I was starting to panic! 😆At what point do I start digging them up to see if they've rotted? What's happening with yours? x Update?

Can ranunculous corms that were received from the supplier in late winter be stored until fall & then started?
@zoewoodwardgardening Жыл бұрын
If you store them carefully keep them cool and dry

Zoe I've had a ranunculus disaster! After waiting patiently for over 5 weeks now(!), I decide to have a dig around and 12 out of 20 of my Marshmallow have rotted 😱😭, with 2 still doing nothing and only 6 germinated...gutted. Chamallow not much better - 10 out of 20 germinated, the rest rotted. So gutted as these were the two colours I was most excited to get to grow this year...😭😭😭 I will baby the ones that have germinated! On a more positive note I have 20 out of 20 Champagne and 19 out of 20 Violetto. Porcelaine & Purple Jean over half have germinated, may have a rummage thru those too later... Marshmallow & Chamallow the poorest germination...I have no idea why! Maybe I stared at them too much? 😂Don't suppose you have any spares do you? 👀x💕

It sounds like you overwatered them or your greenhouse is in the wrong location. Sort that first before you start any more… have a check to see if the champagne just had more sunshine. We are seeing if we can add a few colours for the January shop xxx

@@zoewoodwardgardening Thanks for the reply Zoe. I treated them all the same, and didn't water at all as was so humid in the zippy, the soil must have been too wet to start with, despite me trying to be extra careful 😢 as I was determined that this would not happen ... also, in some of the rotted corms I saw little white worms (urgh, shivers), google said they were nematodes? Could this be the problem? Would the nematodes be in the compost? Oh well, you live and learn with gardening! Gutted. x
