will the leaves wet is a condition for algae to grow?
@AnotherWorldTerraria2 жыл бұрын
If the leaves are constantly wet it could grow algae, but that isn't very likely unless they have excess nutrients on the foliage or they are touching the substrate

Thanks again. After studying all your videos and infos, there are still two questions coming up my mind. 1. Wich is the most suitable temp you would recommend? I have a shelf with an T8 bulb underneath wich provides roughly 22 deg Celsius/ 72 F Is that okay and if so, should i keep that temp range day and night as in the tropics there is no big difference? And 2. Despite all the suggestions to grow them epiphytic you grow buce always kinda planted in soil? With Anubias i do this for years and noticed way better growth. Seems that those two genus behave quite similar... Thanks again from germany ;)

@@AnotherWorldTerraria great! And I don’t find osmocote plus in my country, can I use osmocote fert for pot plants?
@jasoni40903 жыл бұрын
Another great video! I was wondering, considering that I have a large quantity of Lechuza Pon-like substrate, would it be possible to start an emersed Buce grow bin with a gritty mixture of zeolite, pumice, lava rock and a little Osmocote? Keeping the water line just below the surface of the substrate.
@AnotherWorldTerraria3 жыл бұрын
Sounds like it would work well. Many kinds of mineral substrates work well for buce
@michaelsanjunly67802 жыл бұрын
the fluval substrate not available in my country, is there any alternative substrate to substitute fluval? what if only use crushed laba rock as substrate, and is that really must to have springtails? is it possible without it?
@AnotherWorldTerraria2 жыл бұрын
There are other planted tank soils. Many will work fine. Lava rock only is also fine but be sure to fertilize the plants well. Springtails are not required.
@desfishgeek8119 Жыл бұрын
Okay: not sure where my original inquiry was, but i can add to the details here. the Maxigrow, (hydroponic fert) is actually round, much like the osmocote bead like rather than granules. so never used it before, but i suppose i could grind it down.... any thoughts thank you
@AnotherWorldTerraria Жыл бұрын
I am not familiar with that fertilizer so I can't comment on it, but generally I would avoid grinding or modifying a fertilizer. Best to follow the package instructions but probably use a much lower dose than recommended, especially in an enclosed Buce bin. I'd start super low dose and then up it after a few months if the plants are OK but you don't see much growth improvement.

Hi. Besides using fluval stratum, what are the other kinds of substrates I can use? Can I use aquarium aquasoil?
@AnotherWorldTerraria4 жыл бұрын
I have never used aquasoil but I believe it is similar and would most likely work. You can also grow in plain lava or gravel if fertilized

Very nice work! Did you have a drainage system for the boxes? Or ventilation and evaporate are just enough?
@AnotherWorldTerraria2 жыл бұрын
No drainage system, although I might experiment with some ideas some time. Ventilation and evaporation are good for preventing water level from going too high, and adjusting how wet the media is. Drainage technically would be better though, as it would allow you to flush the substrate to remove excess salts / fertilizer / proteins etc. But I rarely have issues with any of that.

Hey, great series of video very inspiring I m starting to work on it And got some questio' and I will be using tropical technic soil that is as well rich for plants I cannot find osmocote in my country So some general question would be what should we look for in the substrate that indicate good quality for those plants and builds As well as for the fertilizer tabs what are the important point we should look at to find a remplacement to osmocote like slow release what proportion of fertiliser in it. Thanks in advence and great day to you keep flooding us with your contents
@AnotherWorldTerraria3 жыл бұрын
@thomas Bottino Thanks a lot. Some info: The Osmocote I use is 15-9-12 formula. If you can find any slow release that is similar that would be good. You can also probably use aquatic plant fertilizer. The key is something gentle and use a low dose at first and see how the plants respond. Then if needed after a few months increase dosage. Better to under fertilize than over fertilize. Substrate, I would go with anything that is alkaline or neutral and does not compact too much, to allow fresh water / oxygen to the roots. I am using lava rock a lot and like it for Buce

@@AnotherWorldTerraria thanks for your quick and efficient awnser! I will be looking for a slow release fertilizer! Have a great day and keep informing us

How exactly do you set the buce in the substrate. Loosely sitting on it, roots in the substrate and rhizome above it or roots and rhizome in the substrate? Great videos, and thanks for sharing!
@AnotherWorldTerraria5 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Roots in substrate but rhizome above it

Another World Terraria If you can, perhaps in another video, talk more about the buce plants you are starting with to grow them ermersed. Are you using plants you purchased that were already emersed, or converting submerged plants? I’ve always struggled getting submerged buce to convert to emersed.

@AnotherWorldTerraria7 ай бұрын
I have never used it and am not familiar with it, but if it's a general purpose fertilizer then I think it should be OK. Start with low dose, add more if needed.

Great and inspiring video! I have a question what is the species name of spring tail? Do you have a link to buy it online? Thank you very much..greetings from jakarta 😃
@AnotherWorldTerraria5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Springtails are in the genus Collembola. There are many species, temperate and tropical. Most of them are good for terraria and plant bins. I don't know any sellers in your country though. You could probably collect some wild ones from outside. :)

Hlw bro How to grow them in substrate with colorful Bluis and purple typ color In submerge they don’t get the color How to get colorfull
@AnotherWorldTerraria5 жыл бұрын
I am not sure how to make them get color when grown underwater because I only grow them emersed. You might try posting your question in some aquarium groups on Facebook where people might have experience with that. I think good nutrients / fertilizer are important, and also some species have better color than others. Good luck

How to remove fungi on its leafs?
@AnotherWorldTerraria4 жыл бұрын
Depends on the cause of the fungus and what type of fungus. If the leaf has any portion which is decaying, I would suggest removing that leaf to prevent further decay and mold growth..
