These videos are so helpful! I just started doing strength training... I have no balance & my posture sucks so definitely need to work on my form. Just showing it is not good enough.. I need this detailed explanation 👍🏼

Try practicing the movement first without any weight. I did, and immediately saw how important locking the back and keeping it rigid is so crucial, especially when you start adding weight.

Most of the time I see this movement they have their back leg sticking out parallel to the ground. This is the first time I've seen it where the back leg is kinda just bent and doesn't move back. I wonder if that even matters.

@rtg87952 жыл бұрын
solid video. However, shouldn't this be called just a single leg deadlift vs a romanian deadlift? seems like he's bending the front knee quite a bit, more like a conventional deadlift. Whenever I've done two-legged RDLs I've only bent my knees very slightly

I seem to have issues with my knees to do this or doing squats or dead lifts. They creak and crackle is my form incorrect or could it be I have weak knees? I don't to end up hurting myself

Rosio Rosales “crepitus” or joint cracking, is usually harmless when there’s no associated pain :)

good tip! Unfortunately, I don't have two kettle bells atm, so can I adjust this by using a weighted barbell instead?
@harvestblades5 жыл бұрын
If you haven't tried you can use the single kettlebell. A single kettlebell is great as it really forces you to engage the core, and stabilizer muscles due to the weight being on one side only (unilateral) really tries to twist your torso.

Wouldn't this be a single leg deadlift not a single leg rdl? Not that big of deal but rdl's dont touch the ground. Correct?
@dedgar61613 жыл бұрын
the ground touch doesn’t determine the movement. Whats important is the knee and hip angle. Rdl is a deadlift modified for the hamstrings. In the video an RDL is being done. We can tell bc there isn’t as much knee flexion as a normal deadlift
