Pepe - love watching your growing cacao series 💪🏽🍫😄 There is little to no information out there about growing it and I have found your channel extremely informative. Can you do a video talking about how you fertilize your potted cacao? What type of fertilizer? How often? I use two tablespoons of 8-3-9 granular ever two months and fish emulsion ever two weeks with my potted cacao. Think I should bump up my granular fertilizer?

Thanks for commenting and real happy you like this series on cacao. I use 18-6-8 time release fertilizer on young trees and once they begin flower use 13-13-13 time release. I also have between 30-50 percent peat in the container mix. I hope to do a video soon on fertilizing cacao. Happy growing. ;-)

@@Pepesplants Great Information. I just picked up some 18-6-8 today. It says it’s 180 day time released, is yours similar? Do you only fertilize twice a year with it?

@@sunsetsamurai That's all you really need in most cases. Really depends on how hot it is and how much rain. I also supplement three times a year spring and summer with macronutrients. Foliar sprays twice with seaweed for ( K) Potassium and a Citrus Nutritional also. I will see when I can do a video. Thanks.

@@sunsetsamurai I use at half strength at about every 60 to 90 days. I suggest you follow the label directions of course to be safe.

Hi Pepe, I recently had a cacao plant but it died 😢 I felt so heartbroken I raise this tree since it was a seedling. The heater in my house broke my cacao plant was 6 years old and it just started to flower. I was wondering if you selling cuttings or cacao trees I am really interested in one I live in Georgia but I can always pick it up. I love cacao plants so much i really want to get one.

Can I get a cacao tree to fruit indoors?

Hi, I bought a cacao fruit online, I cut it in half and it is still unripe. Is it still possible for it to ripen up? If so then any advice? Please help 🙏

If you cut it open then too late for it to ripen. You might be able to plant the seeds an some might germinate. Good luck.
