Hi how are you?, I am South African. Clivia seeds sow themselves directly into any of the soil they grow in. I harvested seeds and was unsuccessful for 3 years and a year or so ago, I washed seeds in fungicide, dried them and planted them into a course potting soil mix. They are growing nicely. Their transplant into the garden will be at their 3rd birthday and they flower in the 4th year. It is a tedious exercise, but I have finally succeeded. I found that the seeds rot when not planted below the surface.

While a Clivia is under a year, should it follow the rest period? If not, after how many years do you begin rest period? Thank you

I have one seed but it’s very green ,,just wondering if it will turn yellow as it’s off a yellow plant or should I take it out of the green shell and plant it now
