I don't think people are going to get how HUGE is to have Marston on the show. The fact that one of his son's have the emotional intelligence to accept that other people's can have a different experience with his dad, speaks volumes about his character.

What a sweet young man Marston is! He is so open knowing relationships differ from person to person & between adults with adults & kids with their parents. It's nice to see how grateful he is for the life his father gave him & the total lack of drama he had with his father even though it was such an untraditional life. I'm looking forward to part two! Edit: I forgot to add that GND had absolutely NOTHING to do with Hef for me. He was just there sometimes.

It sounded like Marston is trying so hard, even now, to connect with his dad. Obviously his dad was older than most dads, but on top of that his dad did have a hard time connecting with people in general. Maybe Hef was on the spectrum as well. Cheers to Marston for having the emotional intelligence in speaking about nuance while being honest about parts of him that still look back on things that really sucked.

I'm really glad that Marston opened up to you girls. You can tell that he has a lot of love for his father but also a lot of pain. He had a father right there in front of him but didn't get to have a real father/son relationship. Hugh is such an interesting person but he sure did hurt a lot of people around him. I think Marston has a lot of unanswered questions and it was probably therapeutic for him to be able to open up and discuss things with you!

When Marston asked Holly, what his Dad was like when he was just lying down in bed, at the end of the day, when his job of “being Hef” for the day was over, what was my Dad like when he switched off? What was my DAD actually like? I wanna hug him. I have three kids and I constantly worry am I doing a good job, am I giving them what they need emotionally more than anything? We can’t get it perfect. Our best is our best. I hope Marston and Cooper have peace in their hearts god bless them. And Marston I feel like adopting games night once a week! Sounds like a sound way to make sure we’re making those memories. Thanks for that tip you’re a gent ❤

This interview was so epic. I'm glad Marston is mature and open-minded enough to look beyond Holly and Bridgette being his dad's "girlfriends", and was able to see that they had their own experiences and relationships (good and bad) with his father. I think it's because he realizes that his father was a complicated and flawed human being, and as a viewer, that's strangely comforting (for a number of reasons). Marston is an awesome person. I cant wait to hear the rest of the interview next week!

I can relate to Hugh's food routine My dad was extremely OCD with his food. Had an extremely strick diet for everyday of the week. Even down to they way it was cooked, how many veggies and they had to be sliced a certain way. For example, his tomatoes had to be sliced in cubes a certain size and only 5. He ate Japanese white rice prepared very sticky with EVERY meal. He only ate eggs on Sunday's and they had to be prepared well done/browned. He was a Virgo OCD genius who raised himself from 16y/o and was stationed in Japan during WWII and also was in The Korean War. Marston looks exactly like his dad and I'm loving this interview. Can't wait for part two. Keep it up Holly and Bridget! ❤ya'll!

I grew up in an alternative kind of environment and sometimes there can be a skewed version of your own reality. He looks alot like a young Hef. I think Hefs lifestyle he had to always have his guard up because it promoted his lifestyle and his prowess and masculinity. Hugh created an environment of sex positivity however there is bound to be deviates. I am glad that everyone had their own experiences. Good bad and indifferent. I really enjoyed to get to see the real Marston. Thank you ladies super interesting and relatable.

Ah the conundrum of dealing with emotional abuse. I’m glad he picked up on that so quick and said that. He didn’t excuse his fathers behavior, he called it out for what it was. And I know as a victim of abuse, we get into the trap of excusing bad behavior on their part because we think in our mind we are doing the right thing by alleviating those concerns for the abuser and sticking to their rules…when in reality we should be checking that behavior and having hard conversations with that abuser to unpack those traumas they themselves have not dealt with from past relationships. Whew so many years of therapy for me there to be able to say that 😅 lesson learned: don’t excuse bad behavior, dig into the reasons behind the behavior and if possible seek proper therapy to heal that trauma IF you decide you want to go on that journey with that person.

I love that he was willing to come on to the podcast. It shows real maturity. Everyone can have a different experience with the same person. I wish they had asked him about the Claire Sinclair situation though. I’d like to hear what he has to say about being charged with assaulting her and having to go through a court mandated DV program.

I appreciate that Marston refers to the privileged moments of his life as gifts, not entitlements. That’s a very good view to have if you’re blessed with financial stability that most can only hope to earn. Loved this episode! Happy Halloween Bridget & Holly. 🎃🖤

Wow it’s crazy how he looks so much like his dad . You always think that rich kids have the life and they are all stuck up. It’s good to know he was super down to earth and that all he wanted was to spend time with his dad

Ive lived in households and as an adult seen households where the children are treated differently. I was abused, but my cousin wasnt. I saw a woman with 3 kids abuse her middle one and not the others. Why do people not get this? People can be super abusive to one person and not the next. I actually had an attorney ad litem for my son explain that she didnt believe his biological father was abusive because she saw him for an hour around his new baby and he was fine🤦‍♀️ Though he chased my daughter through the house with a belt and i had to kick in a door to stop it! People treat people differently!!!!! More than one of his#1 gf's have said he was controlling and abusive. Why did so many girls not want to be number 1? Hello, it was known he treated the number 1 differently! Drives me crazy Holly i can't imagine how it makes you feel

Please keep talking about this Bridget! This is so much more interesting than TV- you both worked so hard and deserve to have your own reboot where it’s an outlet for fans to connect and set the record straight. Thank you for making this!!!

I love that he came on the show & was able to respect that others had a different experience from him with his father. I know hearing the things that have come out about his father has to be hard on him so it was brave of him to agree to speak with y’all & not only didn’t try to discredit anyone else’s story because he may or may not agree.

It made me cry when he talked about the times in the limo the lights and the cookies. I wanted to know how it made him feel to reminisce. I was in my own head reminiscing about my own childhood gone when he said that and it felt relatable, it made me so glad tbh. Maybe he misses his dad and says how did time go so fast and when he spoke about the hurt of the room being taken, as a kid who went from having a stable home to parents split up many years later and the same home being moved out from sucks

I think this is an awesome interview, and absolutely huge for you both and him to have the conversation you had. I loved hearing the perspectives you had on a variety of shared experiences that were obviously different but also the same views in certain situations. I really enjoyed when he talked about how out of the question it was to go out with Hef. And a little sad for him and you both as well that little things we all take for granted like going out and enjoying a movie or dinner with your father or significant other was borderline impossible in life at the Playboy mansion. Really enjoyed this episode Holly & Bridget can’t wait to finish the second part when it’s released
