I'd say it's even better for people born around 1995, and living in a Western Nation, and being Middle-Class or better. You had even better content. You would be around 12yo with a DS Lite playing all those DS and GBA games. Then the next year or so you would get a PSP Slim, which is basically a Smartphone without the Phone part. Not to mention you likely grew up with the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3. And by the time you graduated, it would be around 2014, and things would go stale with the WiiU, XB1, PS4. But at least you could go to University and also get into the golden era of PC Gaming. Not to mention, if you had a decent support network you could save money and get a decent car. Especially if you had older brothers, who would get you into stuff from the 90s-00s. So good music, anime, games, and car culture. An example of a decent car could come in the form of a Japanese Sports Car. Things like Nissan GT-R (R34) went up in price like an investment. And you were in the right place and right time for gambling with cryptocurrencies in their early days. It was a case of all the stars had aligned. Life was definitely "worse" if you were born 5 years earlier or later.

i was born in 2009 and i couldnt be more grateful, the 2010s is when the internet was really starting to make a name for itself, when i was at an age where i could actually understand shit, the best memes of all time were born in the 2010s: the mlg memes, and meme soundboards. i didnt know what rap music was yet, but honesty it didnt matter, pop songs were actually really good back then, (unlike now when they play taylor swift every second DEAR GOD HELP M-) also yes summer wasnt just us trapped behind our computers and correcting people on your and you're, but no people were actually having a fun time in the summer. and can we even NOT talk about the cartoons, remember when nickelodeon was airing the loud house every week? well imagine growing up then, as we know the loud house is really not good now, but back in season 2 it was so entertaining. TLDR: 2020s sucks, and the 2010s is the best decade to grow up in

I say this as a 90s/00s kid so it's all relative. The 2010s was a lot of fun, but it also did kind of suck. I was old enough to really be partying and let me tell you, it was the last great decade for partying. That might've been the best thing about the 2010s tbh haha But it was actually the decade where things really accelerated into the world we have today. Things changed incredibly fast, from the early to late 10s (and they changed even faster from late 2010s to early 2020s) First off, the music was fun...to a point. A lot of it actually started in the late 00s with artists like LMFAO, Lady Gaga, and Pitbull putting out their first real hits in 08/09. Party type music got stale by the mid-10s and kind of withered from there (this converged with what seemed like a general crackdown on big parties in my hometown for some odd reason). Lil B, Spaceghostpurrp, and Yung Lean truly started the movement of outsider rap which d/evolved into mumble rap. In the early 10s, Skrillex and the "brostep" variety of Dubstep blew up--and it was actually awesome. If you knew people with subs in the whip, you were living in the golden age of trunk music (and yes, Yelawolf did make "Trunk Music" which is a fantastic bass song). As far as underground music, I loved the early-to-mid 10s. A style of Drum & Bass called Minimal was hot, and artists like Clarity, Overlook, and Pessimist were making moves--and super dark music that sounded amazing on great headphones or sound systems. Vaporwave was also popping off, but I didn't find out about it until 2017. By the late 10s though, music was just kind of meh. It quit evolving, even in underground scenes. Music as a whole was dominated by rap as it is now, and with that we lost a lot of the variety in mainstream music like we use to have in the 90s, 00s, and early 10s. Video games were getting better on paper (they always seem to be). But the PS4 was the most disappointing console I ever owned. I sold a bunch of games and my Xbox 360 to get it. And it just didn't have the amount of bangers like previous console generations. Instead, the 2010s had a handful awesome games that you sunk a ton of time into, such as Minecraft, Skyrim, and GTA V. But they got old eventually. And like how music became dominated by rap and we lost mainstream variety, similar happened in video games: several really fun games and that was about it. Sure, you had a lot of interesting games that were indie or early access like Rust, Seven Days to D*e, and DayZ, but most of them were short or in rough shape back then to the point of not comparing well to the triple A titles. Movies were the most meh they'd been yet. We were far away from the interesting and innovative films of the 90s/00s like Training Day, Memento, or Minority Report. We did get The Interview though, which was an instant classic. But for the most part, the movie studios must've realized they could just recycle narratives, tropes, and a few character archetypes over and over again, because that's exactly what they did. The prominence of Marvel films is a testament to that. Streaming was also big, and while weird and wild at first, it eventually helped propel the recycling syndrome. The sites and apps that we all know and love (or that control our lives depending on how you look at it) became the powerful juggernauts they are today. Facebook, KZbin, Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, Tinder...even if some platforms started before it, they all became huge in the 2010s. And society was never the same... And the last thing I can think of about the 2010s is the political division that became quite apparent by the late 10s, and hasn't changed since. This probably won't change for a long time. The different ideologies which became front and center, progressivism and populism, had been bubbling underneath the surface for decades. Anyway, it was an interesting time, and I had still enjoyed it a lot. If I were younger, I probably would've enjoyed it more. Because a lot of things seems fun and exciting when you're younger.

I was born in 1999, so I grew up mostly in the 2000s but came to age in the 2010s. Everything about this video is yes, but the 2000s was also equally as nostalgic to me although I wish I remembered more... Anyone remember when iPod touches became big and so the app market was absolutely saturated with pointless apps. Like the zippo lighter, the beer cup that you could "drink" by turning it upside down, the razor, pimple popper, etc. I remember being a kiddo during recess watching my friends play with these and I wanted one soooooooo bad. But I finally joined the mobile craze during the 2010s so this was perfectly nostalgic...anyone remember head soccer? That shit was so fun.

To me this was really the best time to be a kid. The remnants of the 2000s were still around, your imagination could run wild, and at the same time technology was starting to truly take over. I often think back to these days as life was so much simpler but at the same time I’m excited to see what the future holds for all of us.

I miss these memories. I was born in 2009. I didn't understand too much about it but I remember coming to the world and starting my life and my parents got me an first generation IPad on Eid for me to watch nursery rhymes and play baby games. Some kids were so happy back then, when I was just a baby. I remebered i loved elementary school, I loved reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid, the internet becoming better, having a amazing first decade of my childhood, going outside everyday and watching a lot of youtube. Born in the dawn of 06. I have some memories of 08 and 09, very few though. The 2010s were quite fun. I remember the old mobile games from 2010 I used to play on my iPod touch, the old KZbin videos, and some of the music, I was more a classic music fan and still am today. I remember Indie Rock was quite big still however losing out to Pop. I was more into Indie Rock and honestly as time has gone on, I'm just getting more into the era. Overall, I vastly prefer 2000s music to 2010s music. In 2012, I got my iPad and I absolutely loved it. Using it, I discovered the Wii U, and watched some KZbin videos I am nostalgic for even today.

Great video I actually enjoyed this video. I grew up for most of the 2010s as someone born in 2004 I grew up with about 90% of this stuff. I did have a Wii growing up and a 3DS. But I also had the original DS had an Xbox 360 played outside hung out with friends and even had a nostalgic school experience read Diary of a Wimpy Kid and even watched the movies based off those books. I also don't remember silly bandz because at my school we did not had them and where I lived those things did not exist because of reasons like that. I did play Wii sports at one point back in 2019 maybe but besides that I played Animal Crossing City Folk Mario Kart Wii and many other games including Animal Crossing New Leaf. But I did enjoy the video Burdie made and basiclly it described mostly my childhood which made me happy by the way.

As someone born in 06, I can relate to this. Except the consoles, we didn't have them. I rember I was introduced to minecraft in 2011, and it was amazing! I also like the shows that I used to watch and boy those were some good times. Oh and I remember that back in 2016, there were some interesting things such as Pokémon go, SoundCloud, killer clown sighting videos, and the death of Harambe. So yeah it was a very interesting year. I'm also gonna mention that I also had computer games back in the day, one of which was 3d pinball, roblox, and poptropica. Same goes for the mobile games such as angry birds, subway surfers, fruit ninja, and temple run. I also Rember that I would always see kids playing outside during the summer and I would go out for walks around the neighborhood. What a time to be alive!

I relate to a good bit of this being born in September of 2006 and the late 2000’s and early 2010’s were lit, but I have to thank all the family members that are still alive and the ones that are unfortunately no longer with us, such as my great-grandmother, who passed away in October 2022 at the age of 91. When I see clips from Regular Show around the internet I remember her house where she turned it on the first channels she thought would appeal to a 5-year-old, would ask if I wanted a Coke or a sweet tea, and overall took care of me when my parents were working and I had no school. Since I am turning 18 this year, I have come to learn that our childhood experiences were made possible by the adults in our life.

My family has never had normal board games like monopoly. Instead we had sticks which I still love to play to this day. It’s a card game where you grab a stick from the bucket and what the stick says determines what cards you have to get. Every player starts with 15 cards and on each turn you can drop a card in the community pile and pick up one from the stack or the pile. Or, if the pile has multiple cards you need, you can take the entire stack. Once you complete your objective of getting all the cards you need, you lay them out on the table and reveal your stick. After that, you get a new objective where you have to remove all your cards. To do this, you give them to other players as a way to help them complete their stick. After that round, if you’ve completed a stick you get a new one or if you haven’t completed it, you try again. Once the game is over, whoever has the most sticks wins. It’s such a fun game and honestly I feel it’s better than most board games.
