Devon, came because of Ned, but stayed because of you! 28 here, and as someone who dreamed about being an artist her entire life (tried in my early 20s but ended up going the 9-5 route), I feel you on grieving a life you feel you could have or should have had. I still hold on to that dream, although it might look a little different now. Anyway, I hope you continue to put yourself out there- you have a special gift!

I feel a lot of this as I’m turning 30 and my life is not where I want it to be I’ve derailed a lot from where I was and it’s hard not to get caught up in the past thinking how it used to be I’m slowly trying to pick up the pieces and put it all back together just to prove to myself no matter how far we fallen we can still get back up and turn it around

“It felt so distant.” I hear that. The truth, “This is not where I want to be.” 30 hitting hard is scary to me. I’m nervous, but it’ll come, and it’ll be a privilege. It hurts. Lots to process. The contracting and expanding.

Dude I'm here for your journey. I think the neds podcast can be a good closure point for you with the show since they didn't want to do the reboot. I'm excited to see what other stuff you'll act in moving forward. Try not too be too hard on yourself. Your clearly so passionate about it, keep working and auditioning and I know it'll happen for you.

I totally relate. I'll be 33 this year. My sibling really felt at a stand still in her life/career and was jealous of young people that were so successful for their age. I, myself, used to look at other people who were so successful and had done a lot more than I had at that age. I'm still navigating this thing called life. Hopefully one day I will be able to achieve the things I desire. My failures have only made me stronger up to this point.

Devon, you don't know how much I understand you, I'm 23 years old, I just finished a university degree (trying so hard for good grades since I was in school) and now I realize that nothing is as I dreamed. I identify so much with everything you say, since I have started to think if this is really what I want for my life. I want to thank you, Lindsey and Daniel because listening to the podcast made me want to change my direction, to live and to ask myself the question: am I achieving what I really wanted? And I have realized that no, that all my life I have lived limited thinking that what I wanted was a good job and a routine and boring life. After listening to them I have come to think: youth is going to pass me by and I have not lived! I understand what you're saying about your connection to the role of Ned, but man don't feel like that! yes, thanks to Ned I got here and I'm meeting the wonderful Devon, a super spontaneous, sincere and very good sling boy and really I even forgot about your character and I was totally hooked on your personality, just like with Lindsey's and Daniel. Like Devon (not like Ned) you're quite the personality dude, thanks for so much, never change!😊😊😊😊😊😊

Idk about other viewers but yes! Initially NEDS was what brought me here, but it was more in hopes that you were a seemingly normal relatable person. Breaking the fourth wall in the show gave a very odd psychological factor to watching. it really did seem like we were going along the ride with your character. And also that it wasn't real, that there was this kid playing the role also being the same age made it relatable. I understand in the show you had a script to follow but coming here after listening to other podcast knowing these are a great vehicle to let people see and get to know the real you, I had hopes coming in that the upbeat intuitive (at the least middle school educated) kid I watched growing up still had strived to adopt some of the character values like a desire for growth and being able to communicate.WHICH I'd say your doing a solid job, being able to hear about lessons youve learned, failures and any other experience coming from you is in a weird way like connecting with an old friend. This Podcast keeps me engaged. At the least you've successed at that🤙🏼

When Ned's aired, most of us were in the same age range. Waking up early, going to school. We all had some common structure to our lives, and your show provided tips (some of them albeit a little silly), to help us navigate through our days. When I was a kid, I thought all adults had life figured out, and they knew what they were doing. There's no rule book once you graduate high school, though. Some kids go to college, others join the workforce or the military. Some of us fall into a job or an environment we thought we'd never see ourselves in. Some people go their entire lives figuring out who they are and where they want to be. We all grow old physically, but mentally we all remain young, or try and retain some sense of childlike wonder.

I think you have an authenticity and originality that not many people have. I feel like you should get into writing, producing, or even directing. You are meant to be the star of the show, because supporting roles just don’t seem to bring out the incredibly funny and creative person you truly are. I think you are kind and really determined and I think you could really express it in writing and creating something out of it like a TV show or a movie, because a podcast is already a huge step in that direction and you’re doing so well. Listening to you talk, you can go on and on about what you’re passionate about or what you feel is important to someone else. Although you may not have gotten big parts in TV again, your light has been shining in the wrong places, and your style of acting is so underrated. When you said your acting teacher told you your acting was “convincing”, you’re just extremely good at being yourself, which is already a character in itself. That’s why I say you’re naturally the star of the show, you are really funny and unique as your own person and you’re really good at it. You need to be in an Adam Sandler movie, or cast Adam Sandler in a movie you make. Slapstick comedy. You would make a perfect 5th best friend on Impractical Jokers. You have a type of comedy and creativeness that is so deserving of more, and I really think that writing, producing, or even directing is what you should go for, and you can star in your own movie and your own TV show even if you damn please! I would watch anything you make! You’re already out here with 2 successful podcasts and already are back to main character energy, the star of your show. I hope you find this comment and it gives you hope for your future because I see a lot happening for you, this is yet another beautiful beginning!! Good luck to you!!!❤️🙌🌟

I've always found it hard to sit through podcasts without being distracted, but your videos here as well as on the other podcast survival guide channel seem to be the exception. While I thoroughly enjoy all the stories and laughs, but what I've found unexpectedly captivating is your authenticity, vulnerability, and thoughts/analysis on life experiences in general. While our ages are similar, our life paths couldn't be more opposite. Yet, there's been a strange sense of relatability, and more moments than I expected across both podcasts where something just clicks and it's like, "Oh shit.. THERE'S the lesson I missed," or the advice I needed to hear. I see a lot of similar comments too, so I'm definitely not the only one finding value and help in what you have to say. Keep it up, man. This is way better than a reboot would ever be.

You keep sharing beautiful insights and although your life has been a lot different than my own, a bunch of your self reflection is applicable to similar feelings/experiences that I’ve gone through. My only suggestion for this podcast, and maybe even the Ned’s pod, is to do a Q&A on life, experiences, adulting, etc. I hope you continue to do solo episodes alongside having guests.

I'm sorry mate, I've got the almost-exact opposite experience as you. You 'peaked' early and had to come to terms with the fact that life is a struggle later on. I've struggled almost my entire life, most of the time just merely to survive and assert my own existence onto the world, so when the world started collapsing I finally saw my opportunity to come into my own. My 30s are set to prep me for the best rest of my life I could have never even imagined when I was younger. I was too busy to have dreams when I was watching your show. School was my release from home life, I didn't have the luxury of considering my bullies as anything more than trivial additions to my daily life and my teachers were often my only friends until I started acting out myself and making friends with my bullies. I lived through a lot of crap to get me here, and I'm almost finally making something of myself in the world. I wouldn't wish my life thus far on even the most vile of criminals you could possibly imagine, and yet progressing by the day, I struggle to find anything I would actually change about it. Every beating was a lesson and a mistake I never made twice.

Maybe the reason you keep coming back to "Ned" is because one of your purposes in life is being like "Ned". Helping people with their strugles in life with "Tips" through YOUR own life experiences. I was not a fan of podcasts, but since "Ned's" podcast came out it has been nothing but therapy, blessings and just a happy escape in Me time that I didn't even know I needed. These podcasts have definitely helped me and I know that they have helped soooo many others. Thank you for your time and dedication. Also, thanks for being so raw, real and authentic. As someone who’s exactly a decade younger than Devon, it’s always been interesting to listen talk & look back on his 20s. I recently watched Ned’s for the first time and I love it, it left me craving a high school show, and it also made me want an adult guide about the trio dealing with adulthood in their early 30s as late bloomers who still live with roommates, don’t have their dream job or position, & aren’t even close to marriage or starting a family (at the start), & having the trio end up with that at the end revival show. Hope Devon is still open to doing it if Nick/Paramount+ change their mind because we could all use tips from our favorite trio on adulting that’ll give us laughs & warm our hearts (I need Ned-Moze endgame & Cookie as a CEO endgame lol). I’m glad this and the Ned’s pod has let me know the real people behind the characters so thank you, you guys are also just as awesome & funny.

Oh, it hurts me so much to hear everything you feel because I know what it feels like, not being able to achieve a something important to you, I love acting but my main goal was to graduate from university, but due to things in life I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder that for various reasons, whether due to the medications themselves, prevented me from continuing my normal life. At my drama school I felt like a failure since I couldn't concentrate like before, I felt tired all the time, even leaving my room to go to the bathroom felt like a challenge, I eventually left university and the professional classes that had been offered to me at my theater art school, and fell into deep depression, My family does not support me and here I am 12 years after being diagnosed, close to turning 30, and I still cannot continue with university because I keep fighting , what I can tell you is that acting is a very unstable job and seeing it as a job that Living full time it's hard , even less so that all your projects are super successful, is not realistic and it is not worth it and it can hurt you a lot to want it to be that way. ...Many in my country study medicine, but there are not enough hospitals for so many doctors and many of them do not immediately go to work as doctors, do you understand what I'm saying? I mean that if you can do what you like, be happy with that, you don't need the projects to be known or for others to like them, the important thing is that you like them and enjoy the process... I first saw acting as my hobby, then as a second job, my career is my first job which I am passionate about. and I like it and acting for me is like a "luxury job" which is only for my enjoyment, and I think it's a healthy way to see this job. obviously I don't know everything you feel and want but I hope my perspective and my words help you, that would make me very happy!

As I'm coming out of my twenties, or my second adolescence as I call it, I'm hopeful for my thirties; however, in a world that increasingly values youth, especially in women, there is a constant effort to push back against the culturally ingrained fear that I will lose some of that social currency. Before this even starts: I would personally prefer to hear you just talk to your crowd. No; I explained my preference and told a CONTENT CREATOR the type of CONTENT I would watch if they CREATE it.
