And yet this movie made 247 MILLION DOLLARS!!! It only cost $80 million, meaning it was very profitable!!! It made more money than "Gattaca," "The Shawshank Redemption," and "Bladerunner" COMBINED!!! I just don't understand humanity...

"you're bad people", god I love Matt. Because he is very professional and often gives dispassionate impartial "grownup" analysis, when he does bring the funny it just has that extra zing. Plus he has consistently been the best reviewer on this show.

Hmmmm yeah this movie was a pile of shit, I didn't laugh once, it's just a typical modern Adam Sandler film like Jack and Jill, it's a shame I liked the wedding singer and Happy Gilmore, this guy used to be funny but now not a chance

No matter what I may disagree with Alonso Duralde on, I am SO HAPPY that we are united in searing hatred for Nick Swardson!!! That guy has NEVER been funny in anything. Even in Blades of Glory, which is actually quite funny, he was the one actor who sucked the fun out of the room. That guy should never work in anything ever again!

I'll never understand why these guys are always so shocked that an Adam Sandler film is silly and lazy. C'mon, what do you expect?
@ivancorredera42418 жыл бұрын
I'm guessing because some people actually have the slightest bit of hope that Adam Sandler could make a decent comedy film again. But after Pixels, people are finally waking up and are getting tired of his shit. Why do you think he's forced to do 4 movie deal with Netflix. No professional in Hollywood wants to work with this lazy clown again.

The thing is, I am not an Adam Sandler hater. I was a huge fan of his growing up, just seemed like as I got older, his movies got more kiddish to me and seem to just get worse. He's proven form movies like The Wedding Singer, Punch Drunk Love, Reign Over Me, and Funny People that if he tries, he can be taken seriously an actually "act". Those movies were all successful and praised. I just wish he would do more stuff like that. Still funny, but not 12 year old, toilet humor funny like this.

I am so so glad they brought up the car wash scene, because you guys totally nailed it, both on what good satire it could've been and how what was there was most likely entirely above their intelligence/train of thought.
@ivancorredera42418 жыл бұрын
What pisses me off sometimes about bad comedies like this is when bad filmmakers are handed a situation or event in the story that is totally open for numerous different funny moments or clever satire, but the filmmakers are either so lazy that they do nothing with it, or that they don't see the potentially funny opportunities that is often gift wrapped for them, so they rely on the same humor that their audience always wants to see, and sadly it worked for this film.

I call bullshit! Adam sandler is a living legend. Now I will admit he has been slipping, but he has influenced so many kids and has been a part of all of our childhoods. like happy Gilmore, billy Madison, the wedding singer, big daddy, those movies are so well known because Sandler is a genius and doesn't deserve this for trying to make people laugh a little.

if you hate critics you should NEVER engage in any form of art. All art has professional critics. The point of criticism is to better the art as a whole. You don't have to agree with critics and can go enjoy whatever you like but criticism is part of the game of art. if you can't handle the response to putting your art out there then don't put it out there.
