Catching up on your video while enjoying my coffee. Im heading out to the La Mimosa tropical nursery today , Anaheim location and definitely going to check out a sapote , though im wanting two ? Your taste test sold me on the choco . I'll see what they have . This nursery offers quarantined citrus if i show them my proof of house location due to restrictions on the huanglonbing pest . I also want a champagne or cocktail grapefruit dwarf tree , they juice up a delicious nectar unlike any citrus

I've got a proper sized fruit sitting on the tree near Whangarei, NZ. But I feel like it has been on there for a year, still looking good to ripen, so won't be an issue with more fruits on the tree. I really like the taste and texture, something crave worthy even if it isn't a 'super sweet fruit' (some would dismiss it as not worth growing just because it isn't as sweet as a banana!) Will be much better in a few years with at least two other trees nearby for cross pollination.

I just bought one of these. How old is your black sapote tree? How long did it take to bear fruit?

Which one tastes best and worst out of these 3 fruits in your opinion: Sapodilla/chikoo , White sapote, and black sapote

@@RealLifeFruitopia oh okay....that's actually sad to hear. Sapodilla can be easily grown in my region. I wasted so much money in importing these 2 plants. It's such a bummer to know that sapodilla tastes better than them!

Black persimmon is what they are - pretty crap fresh but make the best smoothies or use in muffins? - seedlings are the best as they grow more vertical - my Mossman & Bernicker get to billiard ball size but are very weepy - not apical at all.

@@sowyouthinkyoucanplant5630 i was sent 6 Huge seedling fruit from a mate near Byron Bay - they were reasonable fresh - made some muffins abd smoorhies - they were still bland - a Fuyu way better. We couldn't eat them all - froze the flesh of 3 - never used after 2 years so toseed out.
