Tiger nut milk is a wholesome, delicious milk. It's not alkaline, but it doesn't have to be alkaline to be healthy. Tiger nuts contain the following: Fiber: Tiger nuts are an excellent source of dietary fiber, both soluble and insoluble. Fiber is important for digestive health, regulating bowel movements, and promoting feelings of fullness, which can aid in weight management. Healthy Fats: Tiger nuts contain healthy fats, including monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. These fats are beneficial for heart health and can help lower cholesterol levels when consumed as part of a balanced diet. Protein: While tiger nuts are not a significant source of protein compared to some other foods, they still contain small amounts of this macronutrient. Protein is essential for muscle repair and growth, as well as overall health and immune function. Vitamins: Tiger nuts provide various vitamins, including vitamin E, which acts as an antioxidant and helps protect cells from damage. They also contain small amounts of vitamin C, which supports immune function, and B vitamins, which are important for energy metabolism. Minerals: Tiger nuts are rich in minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and iron. These minerals play essential roles in bone health, muscle function, energy production, and blood circulation. Resistant Starch: Tiger nuts contain resistant starch, a type of carbohydrate that resists digestion in the small intestine and functions as a prebiotic, feeding beneficial gut bacteria. Resistant starch may help improve digestive health and promote feelings of fullness. Overall, tiger nuts are a nutritious food that can provide a range of health benefits when included as part of a balanced diet. Thanks a lot for watching!

Where can we buy this?

@@MsAFS1it depends where you live, in the US, you can get actual USDA Certified Organic tigernuts, but those are mostly grown in the US, not overseas. If you aren’t particular about organic certification, there’s many “organic” growers of the tubers (tigernut) like the one in Ghana, and a basic search will reveal the best one based upon your jurisdiction.

They're called _chufas_ here, where Latin Americans live and they're a main ingredient in one of the most delicious beverages, horchata. Unless you are buying them at a bougie health food store, where they are called tiger nuts, LOL. Also, the way you say "My method is unconventional, but it works" is very alluring. Thanks for posting!

After cleaning and soaking the tiger nuts, what is the shelf life of the nuts? Or should you make the milk immediately after soaking the nuts?

Y’all share stuff but people over in America copy everything and don’t give credit for it. Plant based milk is big business here…
