Man watching this, i think the main reason that i suck is because i dont set the rally point 20 times in the same .5 sq inch area at the start of the game. So much apm that does nothing. Granted i could get my apm much higher and have it really help but theres just so much clicking and keys that doesnt seem to do anything wjenever i watch grubby. Then again, hes pro and im not.

I always imagine catching someone off guard with bats where their air is chasing a unit and is all stacked perfectly on top of themselves so you hit every unit with one bat for the most efficient explosion. Is it worth sacrificing two bats for one Gryphon though? I feel like that you are economically behind doing that, but the food amount makes it easier to mass even though its more expensive? Looks like the equivalent food of bats is 40 gold and 10 lumber more than a Gryphon. You need two bats to kill one Gryphon though, although with splash and other damage you might be able to get away with one bat per Gryphon hope for a ton of splash and use other AA damage to finish them off. If you can get one explosion and a partial from another its only 25hp more you need to do before Armor. I think it is physical damage? ALthough I think remember Grubby mentioning it was Magic and Physical somehow?

Yes it reduced by ams and by armor, but reduced only direct damage, splash damage is pure, so bats is great when enemy has many squashy units, like mass wywerns, or gargs, but bad vs high hitpoint plus high armor units like gryphon or wyrm, and actually orc have only raiders + hh or blade with orb vs this kind of air

Yes, the economic advantage of using Bat Riders against Gryphons comes from their splash damage. Otherwise it isn’t cost-efficient. That’s why the opponent was splitting up his Gryphons as the Bat Riders approached. Still, you get XP while the opponent doesn’t. That’s always worth the trade. What the opponent should have done is make some Dragonhawk Riders.

@@pashashiza6265 Using a scroll of teleportation gives invulnerability status to the hero meaning you can attack stun disable silence or anything on it... a staff of teleportation however doesn't make the hero invulnerable... in this case the enemy was using scrolls
