Agreed. Totally goes against the sophomore slump trend.

I listened to Ten and Vs. last weekend (it had been a while) and really with these two albums I think the band was at a spot where they had caught lightning in a bottle. Both albums are sooo good and the music and feel are so rich. They had a four-ish year run ('91-'93) where they were just an amazingly creative and interesting rock n roll band.

Tbh I've always thought Vs was better then Ten. But Vitalogy has both of those albums beat. Vitalogy is my #1 favorite by PJ. Vs is up there in my top 5

Some of my favourite songs are from vitalogy, but when you take away the obnoxious filler "tracks" there only like 8 or 9 actual songs on it. It's much lower down my rankings of their albums because of that. I don't have to skip multiple tracks when I listen to Ten, vs or Yield, no code. I think as an album vitalogy was deliberately sabotaged and could have been so much better. Still, some absolute killer songs on it.

Your traffic to your channel will grow exponentially . I hope ya read this and really think about it as the shorts algorithm is very easy to exploit right now so good videos shoot up very fast . good luck man ~!

No question Dave A. was the X factor on this album. But the megalomaniac at the helm couldn't handle someone that couldn't be controlled. Letting go of Dave Abbruzzese proved that certain drummers are irreplaceable. You just can't "plug" another drummer in their place. IMO the band never recovered and wallows in mediocrity to this very day. Nice going, Veddie!
@davis2k1234 Жыл бұрын
Just saw them with Matt Cameron a few weeks ago they sound amazing love Dave A drumming they but he’s replaceable literally replaced him with 2 diff drummers and kept on keeping on and Riot Act is the best Pearl Jam album in my opinion
@victorb.1356 Жыл бұрын
@@davis2k1234 Don't take my word for it. Read the comments on any video that involves Dave A. The vast majority of comments admit he was their best drummer (by far). Rarely in rock has a drummer driven a band as well as Dave A. did on Vs and Vitalogy. Not to mention the live performances. Every remake he did of a song on Ten is better than the original (sorry Dave K.). MC is perfectly suited for a band like Soundgarden, especially with his odd time signatures, etc. But, what do I know...

@@victorb.1356 I agree with you and all the others that seem to all say Dave A was the best drummer PJ ever had. I didn’t see PJ live til after he was gone but sure he was the best live also but the slights to Vedder and the albums after Vitalogy is were all of you just plain wrong he was replaced and the band still put out amazing music and live shows I’d argue Yield Binaural and Riot Act are there 3 of the best albums all in my top 5

Something I feel like Eddie has became what he hated like I think he's been surrounded by too many rich people I want to see him bitching about guns now and act like a drunk it's kind of I don't know I got a Pearl jam tattoo on my arm I'm a musician I love their music Mike McCready is you know my idol when it comes to guitar playing my dad like listening to The rolling Stones cuz my dad listen to me now so I'm 50 so when I was a kid he be playing the stones and stuff and records and records so while the ideals I get man but when you watch like guns that will make you disgustws.. And I also think I think the way they handle David breezy who is the best drummer they ever had was terrible the way that you left him out of the the Rock and roll Hall of Fame was that doesn't matter that kind of credit I'm was terrible the way that you left him out of the the Rock and roll Hall of Fame... And I hear it's because him and Eddie didn't get along or something like that that And also you can find video of Eddie's band bad radio you see that he doesn't seem that scared of him he doesn't seem that depressing or whatever he was trying to go for because then it starts to seem like an act, as I get older and if you're young and you like music you might start to find this out that the things you love 20 years prior that you thought were so real and indicative of who you are I think that's the right way to say that word anyways nothing is real man everything started out everything is just it's kind of depressing I'm depressing myself all right goodbye
