Here in Alberta you are allowed to target shoot at any time of year, so long as you're on crown land (including natural areas) and not breaking any local laws.

+CanFirearmsReview I was quite surprised when I found out that we could, but after emailing with the ESRD, I found out that you can target shoot on crown land. Most people seem to think that you can't. Are you sure that it's not the same where you are?

You could be very right, I will have to look into it further. I have always been told in the past that you need a hunting license in the woods while carrying a firearms. Thanks for the info!

+CanFirearmsReview Im not aware of any Federal laws preventing you from using a non restricted rifle on crown land. As long as your a safe distance from populations and highways.

Thanks for the warning about the blast concussion. I've never heard of that so I'll at least be ready for it now.

Your not allowed to shoot a rifle on less it's hunting season

Some provinces have caliber limitations if it's not hunting season. Some have caliber limitations when it is hunting season. In a shotgun deer season you can't take a larger caliber rifle into the field.

I was going to say. I live in Ontario. And I didn't know that. But I hunt on my reserve. Hassle free

I've never heard of this caliber restriction BS. There are many Gun owners who have no interest in hunting, myself included.
