Hey, just wanted to thank you very much for developing this tool George and for continuing to build on it

Hey, Thank you very much for your kind words! At the moment I'm focused on optimization of existing features, not adding new ones. The reason is - the node network of a card (or tube) is quite huge as it is, and it can actually degrade performance in very complex scenes. This requires optimization. After that I will resume adding new features, and tube profile can be added as well. I assume that your workaround is to manually change the nurbs circle component of the tube? If not, you can try that. It's hidden, but you can reveal the components of the tube by going into the Relationship Editor, finding a Display Layer with "inst" in it, and removing the "Reference" display override. You will see the that the tube is constructed from a nurbs circle and a path. Changing the circle will affect the shape of the tube (profile). Cheers!

@@GeorgeSladkovsky Ah thanks for the update! Optim makes sense, especially when it's easy to keep creating more and more cards with the tool, hahah. At the moment I did not try to change the nurbs circle component, but opted to start it with the sweep mesh profile + custom profiles and then bind the result. It seemed to work by allowing me access to what I needed in both tools, but was a bit clunky. I will give what you suggested a try!

Thank you George. Different scales can be very problematic sometimes :d

It would be great to add ability to increase subdivisions of cards not equally along the curve but add more in the places where curve bends more and less where curve is straight.

Hello, I've just bought your plugin but haven't started working yet. Could you maybe record a full workflow using your plugin someday? From placing the first hair card to the finish?
@GeorgeSladkovsky Жыл бұрын
Yes, this is in the plans. There will be two videos - a comprehensive tutorial on every function (to avoid watching multiple old update videos) and also a workflow video that will show how the tool should be used (without going into deep explanation on every function). But I'm very busy at the moment, so I can't give you a release date for those videos.

Hi, do we have to reinstall G.S curve tools to update it or is there a function to update it to the latest version within the plugin? I'm using GS Curve tools 1.3.2 And thank you for creating this!

Hi. You need to update the tool manually. Just remove the folder (Maya should be closed) and basically re-install it. Don't forget to run the init command again.
