What a beautiful day to ride. That seat pad looks cushy on the tushy. Not dieing is a good thing. best to you.

It's something that we said at the end of a business flight during my time working for suppliers of commercial aircraft parts.

When I started flying for business my boss at the time always said, "cheated death again", upon landing. As suppliers of rotating components for Pratt and Whitney and General Electric engines, I always found this amusing.

@@verbalwidget7267 As you are likely aware, aircraft components can often be re-tested if they have a testing failure. But if they pass, no matter how slim the margin, they are never re-tested.

What a great bike. . I have the saddle-man seat and it made a massive difference. Not cheap, but worth it in the end. I have the handle bar risers as well 😎

I think that I am slowly creeping up on a bike that I can ride for more than a couple of hours without a break. One of the aftermarket seats and the larger windshield will likely cone of the next few months. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Dialing in the comfort can be a long process, but worth doing on a bike you love. It’s amazing what a big difference a small change can make. Love the closing!

I do really like this bike. I don't ride enough but I enjoy making these small improvements. Thanks!

I haven't put a lot of miles on the bike since the addition but first impression is that it helps. This addition now has me sitting up a little taller and I may need to pick up the touring wind screen. The money pit keeps calling.

Great upgrades! Those risers and seat cushion will definitely make long rides more comfy, and good thinking with the frame sliders for some extra protection.

@@ParallelCamper That would be an ultimate machine for the trip. I missed the hp of the big Vee1050, but the little Wee650 got me there and back home. Hard to fault that.

Thanks for that review, i have a GSX8R that i just purchased 2 weeks ago, I immediately realized that the seat is a rock and an hour on that thing and your a.. wants a divorce, so i am going to try that seat pad you mentioned. the GSX1000R does seem like a complete machine, although 8R is crazy fast by itself I still feeling the pull to a litre bike like this.
@ParallelCamper10 күн бұрын
Everything that I have seen regarding the 8R has been positive. I am happy with the pad and for less than $40 I think it was a good investment. Thanks for checking out my video.

Rob! Looks like your bike just had a bath! What kind of seat pad is that?
@ParallelCamper28 күн бұрын
Seat pad is an Amazon special. They describe it as honeycomb gel. I do try to keep the bike clean but I don't put on the miles like you and Tommy so it's not too difficult.

Getting your ergos and comfort sitchamatated properly is important. Corbin, Sargent and Seat Concepts are some popular aftermarket seat shops. I've used several Corbin seats over the years because its easy to ride 40 miles to their shop for a custom fitting. I have a seat concepts on my GS now. It's ok. Not great, but ok. I've heard good things about Sargent, but have never owned one of their seats. I hate it when I die on a ride. Really sours the whole experience, so I try not to do it. Definitely not recommended. One star, would not do again.
@ParallelCamper25 күн бұрын
I have been looking at all of the aftermarket seat alternatives but I'm not ready to put up the $700 or so. I may need to spend the bucks but I am going to run with the $40 pad for a while. Yes. Stayin alive is my goal on every ride.

Any way you could add links in the description of all of these upgrades?
@ParallelCamper27 күн бұрын
I will try to do that in the future. The kickstand pad and the seat pad are Amazon parts. The handlebar riser and frame sliders are from Revzilla.
