Good vid! I agree with almost everything you’ve covered. I play gt and forza 7 equally. Even though i favor the graphics and AI of GT, I cant get the responsive driving experience that Forza offers. I hope GT puts more focus on this in the next game. Also , the sounds lack the involvement of the transmission.

I have to say I love this game. It’s the first time I’ve picked up GT since Gran Tourismo 4. In fact, I had such a special place in my heart for GT that I left SONY as a whole for a long time after I felt they ruined the series for me. Yes, this started my relationship with Xbox. Strange, I know. But for the sale price I bought the game at… I am glad I did. It’s simplistic, easy to navigate, no fast and furious junk, not 2000 cars with 1100 of them being Supras, and no license tests… I can only hope Polophony Digital stays with the formula. Just give us nice cars (consider fans outside of Japan) and ease of access.

For the price you will be paying when this goes on sale, there is no reason why racing game fans should not be getting it. Graphics is top notch, handles well with a Dualshock 4 and plenty of content both offline and online. I do wish there are more tracks and 100GB+ installation size is too much.

You know what...I get it. I actually get it. I have a PS4 and I play this game high as an Alabama pine just cruising thinking about anything and everything. The offline mode is limiting in terms of tracks, but you'll find you'll evolve in doing custom races with varying degrees of difficulty and rules to make it challenging. Try racing a Panda on an Oval against N1000, endurance 30mins, 10X fuel and 10x tirewear. You'll come out the winner everytime. I think it's a snazzy 200,000 credits. Good luck getting the clean racing bonus. But you see...I get it...this game is 4 years old, this review is ridiculously late, but damn he's right, it's a solid game.

@@Kuzgunrunner1 To a degree. the CPU driving is slow esp if you upgrade your user cars to max potential. There is a limited amount of tracks as well, but different variations of some. I've upped the anty and added heavy damage, tire wear and gas usage. This creates strategy for me. Then I tinker with the loads of sliders in the car performance section depending on the track. There is a 'driving' school, where you can complete sections of a tracks for medals and if you achieve "gold" or complete an entire block of challenges, you get a gift car. That keeps you busy. Worth to buy it now? Not really. It's a perfect driving sim game, but it needs more tracks. Some might say it needs more cars, but the line up they have is actually solid

Just watched a video of Jimmy Broadbent showing how incredibly smooth the sixaxis motion control steering is. I read quite a few forum posts singing the motion control steering praises - like a steering wheel without ffb many have said. It sold me; I've just bought a used ps4 off ebay.

That's really hard to say; GT sport certainly isn't great for single player, but you should give the multiplayer a go because it is so good and addictive. If you really just want single player then I would reccomend GT5. Alternatively, you could try F1 2021/2020 which both have amazing single player content. The newer one is best though. Grand Turismo imo is the best Racing sim present out there The physics and realistic track simulation makes you a better player with time and eventually develops your skills But Grand Turismo sport focused majorly on Online elements that it forgot one of the most significant factor which made Grand Turismo the pioneer at racing sim Grand Turismo 1 till date is the best Racing game ever from that gen It totally changed how we approached racing games Grand Turismo 6 has a Guiness record of having the most games in a single title But the Sport neglected all of these I kept the game at bay just after a week and only played Forza Horizon 4 cause it had some arcade elements and huge selection of cars and I didn't felt forced to play or focus more on online Hope Grand Turismo 7 has replicates the same magic it did for in the past for being #1 choice fir racing sims

I only started playing this year and have been loving the game, especially the weekly races. I absolutely hate trying to buy cars though, the menu system is incredibly basic, you can't search with filters making it a total pain if you're after a particular style of car for a race but you're not sure where to look.

GT5 is PS3 only, and probobly edges out GT6 for offline. (GT6 is compatible with PS4). GT sport online is great with a wheel though! I believe GT Sport is also compativle with the vibration feature of the G293 (Trueforce).

I have actually played both on PS5! ACC is far more realistic but therefore has less cars, tracks and worse graphics. It is also best played on a wheel (although completely playable on controller). I assume your talking about the penalty system? - It has recently improved a lot however I get where your coming from. The rating systems however generally work well as you are always in a lobby with similar level players which makes for close racing! (I have almost 500 hours on the game)

GT sport is a very good game but it’s missing some content the other GT like 1-6 those are full games, GT sport is more experimental, but it still a great game but just keep in mind, it will have less content but it’s high quality game at the end of the day.

This game does not have a good driver and sportsmanship rating system due to the garbage penalty system. It has become almost unplayable due to dirty drivers. Best thing about this game is the BoP plug and play. Daily races with friends would be great.

That's a hard decision! If you want open world racing, go Xbox but for track racing you want PS! PS generally has way better exclusives when it comes to story games with the last of us, horizon , god of war ext.

It depends what you want. Gran Turismo will offer a more traditional career mode with content unlocked by progression and track racing. Forza Horizon on the other hand will be a GaaS sandbox focused on delivering seasonal content and open world driving.

With the current state of the game I would say that’s a big No on would I buy it, but I already did a long time ago 😞😞 if you like getting wrecked ever race play GT sport atm there’s no penalty system in the online play so ya, this is a simcade game you try a real simulation game ( PC2, AMS, ACC, IRacing it’s loads harder to drive on those games than gt sport and the cars defiantly seem to drive more realistic ) there 10X harder than GTsport the driving physics are simple it’s nowhere near the simulation lvl, I overtake the whole AI field in about a lap 1/2, if it had adjustable AI I might rate it a little better

In other words this game cut out everything I loved about Gran Tourismo... Same with Forza 7. I don't get why Forza even has an upgrade shop with all those options when it doesn't let you use them at all. Every car is only allowed to be improved a slight amount and the game automatically does it for you. So you can no longer buy a 1990 Honda Civic and upgrade it into an S class sleeper. Nope. Now your 1990 Honda civic is limited to C rank, meaning the game just gives you sport tires and a performance air filter and that's it. There is plenty of other upgrades available, and you can apply them to your car, but you can't race it. So what is the point? There are no good racing games out right now. I don't give a flying fuck about playing online. I like the single player mode. I like upgrading and tuning. I like buying a car and working to earn money for new upgrades. It makes me care about the game. It makes me get attached to the cars. It makes me feel like those are MY cars. And that makes the game better.

Still pretty good! Lobbies are mostly full in daily races and are pretty populated in custom servers (lobby mode). There are some matchmaking bugs but other than that still very good!
