GT2542 Cub Cadet Mower to Snow Plow Setup

I inherited a little Cub Cadet GT2542 tractor with a mowing deck and snow plow. This is a video of me switching from mower to snow plow in preparation for winter.

Nice mower! And great vid! I have the one just above this model the gt2544. These were made from 2003-2010. These also can have a sleeve hitch on the back so they can use a plow for a garden or any sleeve hitch attachment you would ever want! These also mow fantastic. The kohler command engines are probably the best small engines made today and this model can already have the johnny bucket jr so it can be like a front end loader, because the snow plow you have is a Johnny products plow.

Nice video, I'm here in Colorado too and have a Cub Cadet 2186 with a snow blower. But when we get heavy snow, the snow blower does not work all that great and think a plow would work better. It looks like the previous owner may have modified the GT2544 to operate the electric sleeves on the snow plow. Can you tell who manufactured the snow plow. There's a good chance it would also work with my 2186.

I actually sold mine. I think just about any blade might work. But I’d google cub cadet snow blade to find one. You’ll likely need chains. It has an open diff. So it’s easy to spin one tire and go nowhere.
