You can't repair carbon fiber however, that's not a 1 piece wheel either, it's either a 2 or 3 piece wheel and whoever the manufacturer of the wheel is, can take those sections apart and replace the outer section of the wheel. There's no reason whatsoever for replacing the entire wheel. My shop sold these custom high dollar wheels that we had built with custom offsets and clearances for specialized brake caliper setups in one off settings. I can understand being upset with the valet company, but in the long run it's going to cost you more trying to prove that there wasn't any damages prior to them parking the car, especially when their valet tickets say not responsible for theft and damages

@@Lynsey-wh2jl the valet has to prove it was preexisting, the burden is on the valet not the owner. If you leave anything with anyone and they charge you for a service they are responsible for your property since you paid them to take care of it. This is an easy case

Yooo, that’s crazy bro! Sorry it happened. I would it been blown my self. I can’t believed they were so careless to park a car as beautiful as the gt500. It tells me that these people are so incompetent to do one simple job and thats park cars in a space without damaging them.

I agree 100% my e30 was my first car when i first got it my friends dad curbed the rim 2 days after i got it, kept telling me he would repair but i felt the same it was a brand new wheel when it curbed it i should get a brand new wheel in return. Especially because it wasnt just an honest accident he kept swerving in the lanes and i had already told him i wasnt okay with it that same day. Only let him keep driving bc i was young and dumb. even oftered him to keep the old one so he could possibly repair it and sell it if he wanted. Never got a dime

I agree they should buy you a new wheel, I am a master technician and have heard many stories about carbon fiber wheels, once the damaged is through the clear coating and touches the structure of the carbon fiber its time to replace the wheels! Otherwise could cost you thousands to have a professional repair the wheels for you, as they are often built in one piece at the factory and machines use vacuum to impregnate the carbon fiber with resin while under extreme pressures! You should 100% be receiving a new wheel just based off the safety factor, carbon fiber wheel repair is a very unique skill that requires very special equipment and certifications! Just to mount tires to those wheels requires special clamps for the machine to hold the wheel from the lug seats instead of the hub like a standard machine, carbon fiber wheels are no joke!

If it’s just the surface , you can skin it. You can repair carbon fiber but it won’t be the same .

I hate valeting; especially when I come back out and they say “nice car “, you know “Que lo sonaron from the parking spot “ . I have to valet daily. I got a GPS called Bouncy for my cars. The first day I caught a guy doing 40 in a 1-2 block stretch. I addressed it with management and they’ve been behaving.

Learned my lesson on that with my new supermoto wheel guy was new to the tire machine and it scratched the wheel bad all the way around i felt bad since it was a new shop and a nice guy so i let him get it repaired. A year or 2 later all the clearcoat started peeling off

Sure it can, if there’s no major cracks, it can. Won’t be the same but repairable . Insurance companies won’t fork out for a new wheel unless you sue them
