That basically tuned and beautiful GT500 is fast. Your proving a stock Dark Horse isn't a one trick pony running strong quarter mile passes while others show how strong it is on the track. The decade old supercharged Hellcat ran a 12 second pass against a NA Dark Horse Gen 4 Coyote that ran an identical time. With a supercharger. The Dark Horse should be running in the 10s. The new S650 is selling well while the soon to end Challenger sales have dropped over 30%. Thanks Stangmode for showing the 2024 Mustang Dark S is only the beginning for performance versions of the S650 Dark Horse Mustang.

Older Hellcats (narrow body), like the one in this video, did not start at $80k+…many sold in the $59k to sub $70k range. The widebody and Redeye versions did start closer to $80k.

Because there iis a lot that is better looking on a S550. The rear end , the side profile where the window meets the hips. And the front is way better looking . The headlights have it's own character. And the grille is separate from the headlights and not boxy . Seem like they ran out of ideas . And knew the S550 style was a winner . So just did something to the s650 to just make it look different. The same thing Chevy to with the 6th gen Camaro. Looks kinda like the 5th gen but still did enough to it. That it doesn't look like a 5th gen and now the 6th gen don't look as good as the 5th gen . I have a 5th Gen Camaro ss . So not bias on the s550 but do love the body and interior.

Roll racing is alright but I grew up racing on a 1/8 DragStrip so I prefer heads up lights down the tree take off hopefully with a hole shot and not a Red light racing . One other thing My DH is the 10R80 so is it possible to get a Mach 1 with the auto against a DH with the auto ? Just wondering what the outcome would be. Thanks 🙏 for your videos .

Good stuff. It’s honestly hard to justify the 70k price tag on that dark horse. For that price tag it needs to be faster on the straight line. You can get a GT500 base for 70’s which proved to be much faster here.

@@DWH300 Not a new one but pre owned with relatively low mileage. I would still prefer to throw close to 80k for a GT500 than a Dark Horse all day any day. The GT500 is an instant future classic whereas the Dark Horse is a new line and we don’t know how it will do in the future. Take a look at the Mach 1’s. Those things are going for the 50’s now and were going for the 70’s when they first came out.
