Wow. Nice run. I am a Mopar fan, but a bigger Ford fan. It seems ever Red-eyes owner like the gentleman you ran really think they can't be beaten. We'll see the same outcome if you race his new Super Stock. I don't think they realize how fast your Shelby is until you gap them. He had a car length lead on the leave and you drove around him. I'm guessing he didn't want a rematch. Your GT500 is running extremely strong and I believe you ran street tires. I'm wondering if the wing improved rear down force hearing your tires break loose during your 2nd gear shift. I believe you ran 9s with it and very low 10s without it. Something to test. Congratulations. You're back!

@@silcott__ first the redeye was stock full interior at 797 rated hp and was spinning on a slick the GT 500 was running a completely built motor tuned on E85 gutted interior and carbon fiber body parts on a slick. Nah no salt here. Both cars spinning only showed one race. Stangmode notorious for only showing wins anyways.

Horsepower only matters if you can hook. Then Horsepower to weight ratio ,driver and transmission /suspension come into play . Love the content 👌

watching David van voris run 13s with a completely rebuilt 2018 mustang gt that has run mid 7s before. people have to understand first runs put are test and tune while gapping. DVV has prolly 2000hp now and solid axle and way less weight. everything is ne kinda like the 500. but is what it is

Question. Is the 5.4 L GT500 engine more durable and/or reliable than the 5.2 GT500 engine? Because Cleetus has a 5.4 in his crown vic built by L&M, making 1,000 hp and Cleetus absolutely beats the crap out of that motor, revving it at high RPMs during burnouts and drifting, etc. That engine has not come out of that car for 2 years! If that engine is that durable, have you considered dropping one in a current S550 or GT500 ?
