GTA 4 and 5 followed the same general trend as 3 and VC, where 4 innovated and 5 expanded so 6 will probably finish repeating history with taking everything they've learned and expanding on it as much as the PS5 and series X can handle before setting on fire lol

I'd actually enjoy it if gta 6 took a "realistic" approach, the same way rdr2 did. I think I saw somewhere that we wouldn't have a weapon wheel anymore, so it could be like rdr2 where you pick a sidearm and a primary or two from your horse/the trunk of your car before you commit a robbery. planning out heists could be a lot more in-depth as well.

Yes that's true actually! While there will be a weapon wheel, multiple leaked clips confirmed that only 1 sidearm is available and 2 primary weapons (rifles, shotguns, ect.)

Sorry to burst your bubble, even though how much i want GTA to be realistic i think its very unlikely since both RDR n GTA both different genres, one with the likes of real dark western atmosphere while other is heavily influenced on the fun and arcade. Along with the fact there are 10+ year old kids playing GTA O atm, most of em will have difficulties playing due to slow and complex mechanics implemented in the game. I m pretty sure Rockstar will try to keep the game as balanced as possible with the likes of RDR2 and GTA features finding the perfect mix suitable for the players.

What I'd like to see is a more enhanced wanted system where you can't really escape that easy, and if you escape a high wanted level you'll still need to change the car or change plates and color. From the leaks it looks like cameras will play a role and you'll need to cover your face like in the trailer in when doing robberies

GTA 4 has the perfect balance between seriousness and humor, the story was mostly serious with some funny dialogue, but the worldbuilding was full of the classic offensive and exaggerated GTA humor the series is known for. It really made you feel like Niko was the only sane person in a world full of crazy people. I hope 6 is like this, and that they don't tone down or soften the humor.

I'm big into GTA RP, and I really think the devs are going to be basing the games story and online around a more realistic approach like you said. Rockstar now owns FiveM, and they've had discussions with the NoPixel dev team. I think there will be dedicated servers and RP built into GTA, but I also think they'll be taking that playbook for story mode, with things like gas, traffic stops, long term wanted levels like RDR2. Great video!

I know GTA 6 will be something to be revered for the next decade. I think It'll 100% be like RDR2 with limited weapon options while on foot. I think our trunk will be like our saddle. And I bet they'll further imrpove upon the interaction system used in RDR2 which was introduced in Bully. As fantastic as RDR2 was, it was totally a tech demo for rockstar. They wanted to showcase all their new tech and engine features. I'm really excited, but I'm not getting my expectations up. I just hope rockstar knows that we want realism in their games. If we wanted an arcade GTA we'd play Saints Row 😂😂

The way I see it, we won't be doing stuff like robbing banks anymore like we did in GTA 5 (or even 4). In my opinion GTA 6 will resemble RDR2 more than GTA 5, a vast and very detailed open world, but experienced at a painfully slow pace. Now, realism is fine but we shouldn't sacrifice fun for the sake of realism. You mentioned that 5 stars is easy in GTA 5, while I would agree I would say Rockstar should approach this with caution, it shouldn't be so difficult that it's next to impossible to survive 6 stars (looking at you GTA 3) For example, they should make the FIB return at 6 stars like they did in GTA 4, but no military with tanks. If you want the military to chase you, go play Just Cause or Far Cry, not GTA.

Back in the day, rockstar games were test runs for what was going to be in gta. For example, gta 4 took midnight clubs driving, max paynes firearm controls and just built upon that. I feel like rockstar will be taking Rdr2 as inspiration for some of the nee mechanics. The robbery in the diner for gta6 with multiple choice to zip tie someone and the other 2 options being open reminds me of Rdr2 robbery selection of: rob, beat, execute. I would advise everyone to look deep into rdr2 because these mechanics will be expanded in gta6

I hope that GTA 6 will make it significantly more challenging for players to simply rob a store and make it so you can't park in an alley to lose the cops. They should reduce the payout, as stores won't really have too much money since most transactions are done with cards rather than cash, and the game seems to focus on the modern days. Stores cannot really give you a whole lot of money like in GTA 5.

I think you should be able to change the mode in settings, arcade mode or grounded mode. I know you can change this in Mafia: Definitive Edition. I never played it, but I know in realistic mode you have follow traffic laws and stuff.

I think you missed out the part that GTA 6 will be a social game as well, much more social than how it was in GTA 5. My prediction is that Rockstar will implement FiveM elements for console players on GTA 6 online and make it a heavily social based game but at the same still have the same fun element like driving around and griefing players. That’s my guess tho but it makes sense since they were showing a lot of TikTok videos during the trailer and in FiveM they have a huge social feature like that on PC.

It makes sense that the crimes are low level to start. In GTA 5 the characters were career criminals and in GTA 4 Nico was ex military. Stands to reason to that Lucia is likely a street level criminal and the crimes are likely to ramp up from robbing a liquor store to a higher level. It's a new take but if anyone can carry it off it's R*.

I don't know If rockstar will have the balls but, If the game is more grounded, less crazier in mission scale than GTA V, also make sense to make Jason and Lucia have different traits as well. Lucia being not that physically strong in hand to hand combat, even making it hard for her to beat some male npcs, but at the same time, giving her some distraction skills, being hot as she is. She could also be better with some guns or has better use of melee weapons. This would bring realism while also balancing the game. If it's more grounded, would also benefit from more gore. Rdr2 levels of gore at least. GTA V and IV had almost none compared to other GTA games.

GTA V has too much action, too much comedy, too much of stuff that makes it feel like fantasy, it has a lot, but at the same time it is empty, with very little excitement regardless of how much action it has, which may also be the cause of its lack of excitement, at the beginning it is a little slow, but it is boring, it does not really create a connection to the characters, and then it becomes full of action, so much that the action missions don't feel as special as they could feel, a player becomes used to just aimless destruction, it does not create a story of struggle in the story, a strong emotional connection to the characters, or a feeling of realism and immersion, I am glad GTA VI might take a slightly more simple path, regarding the action in the game, simpleness can create greatness, and I really hope for a game with more serious vibes and less sillyness than GTA V, one that might even make me cry and leave a mark and it's not 97% of just fun, I hope VI doesn't disappoint me (I'm talking about the story mode btw, after I finish the story I would absolutely love to have a bunch of things to do, more than any gta game ever, perhaps more than all gta games combined, to properly enjoy the fun of Vice City)

I think that the design of GTA 5 wasn't a bad thing, I personally loved the game. I think it was a necessary risk for rockstar to take retrying the arcady formula that made the game big in the first place That said I agree with you, it gets boring quick especially the online. The gameplay is very dry and once GTA 6 comes out I hope they make it much more difficult and deep Thank you for your thoughts :) love to see the community being honest

GTA V was unarguably amazing back in the early days, and it is still very good game, the arcady formula was definitely the best choice after the dark story and feel of GTA IV, it might've been boring to have two dark stories in a row, but it has been such a long time and I think we've had our fun with GTA V and its arcady ways, GTA IV was my first GTA, must've been about 6 or 7 when I played it, it was my childhood, and for a kid to grow with a deep story like GTA IV, it definitely leaves a mark, however many grew up with GTA V, and though they will remember having fun with their friends, they won't really have a good, deep, jaw-dropping story to remember, I think the story is very important especially for those who will grow playing the next GTA, and I think we all need by now a story that we don't just play but keep in our hearts always, as corny as it may sound, I think that is the whole point of having a story

Gta sa don’t even feel like a flowing story half the time. I’ll do like 7 missions in a row and feel like I’m only doing side missions cuz every missions I do is part of a different part of the story

My hope is limited weapons not being scrapped, hair and beard growth, muscle building and weight gain, two small things i want are a gear shift animation and the steering wheel turning completely and not only halfway, and finally i hope Rockstar will be smart and not have heists be the main part of the game, please give us drug smuggling kinda shit in the game (i really don’t just want another Gta 5 with the heists) i trust Rockstar (as controversial a statement that is nowadays) 🤣🤷‍♂️

I hope they improve on missions design, Red dead redemption 2 had a problem for me, the missions were too linear, you couldn't do anything out of the script that it would be game over. Because of this i think everyone remembers the wagon mission, even though it's not especial, except for the fact that let you play the mission the way you want.

Understandable, GTA SA was certainly a product of its time and I go back every now and then to play it its a masterpiece. I think Rockstar experimented with the San Andreas arcade gameplay with 5 though, at some point they gotta change it up for GTA thank you for sharing your thoughts!

I hope we get a best of both worlds experience where they have immersive "realistic" mechanics mixed with more arcadey fast-paced missions and tight shooting and on-foot controls. Imo RDR2 but with a GTA skin would be a disappointment. RDR2 is a great game, don't get me wrong, but I hope we get more freedom and open-ended missions.

I liked RDR 2, but sometimes I think it was a little too slow for it's own good. I want ridiculous chaos in GTAs storyline. Realism in games isn't all that appealing to me personally.

Well it will probably be able to achieve up to 4k 30-60fps not really sure which frame rate. That would only be achievable on the x and ps5. Obviously if a pc port came out we’d be able to set it to whatever we want

I’d be shocked if they have nudity, rag dolling one’s own character to do prat falls, cars that are almost indestructible, tons of clowning on liberals, really great music that is free to listen to, consequence free NPC hunting. Red dead added way too many things that make clowning around years later after you finish the game. The fun you keep coming back to is the freedom to behave badly without getting killed or posting bail. It’s what makes you keep playing the solo game. Can’t do that with red dead without too much hassle.
