@RockstarGames will be dropping the GTA 6 trailer in a number of days from now... it made me think, how will the next installment of GTA improve on GTA 5s gameplay and story? In this video I will talking about GTA 6s potential and what I think it should improve on the most.
#gta #gtav #gta6
Thank you for watching this video :) Make sure to comment your opinion on the subject and I will try to respond as quick as I can.

My own personal wish list : Stop placing flashing markers all over the landscape highlighting where you're supposed to be going. It's not an arcade game. It ruins the immersion and you're treated like a child. Go look what they do in cyberpunk, it's perfect imo. Stop punishing players just because they tried to use some intuition and complete a mission their way instead of the rockstar way. I'm so tired of 'Mission Failed' just because you didn't get off your horse at the flashing marker, or park your car where rockstar told you to park the car. Why do you make such big beautiful open worlds and then put constraints on how we need to complete missions? If there's a chair, let me sit in it. This has always been on a sandbox wishlist for me. Imagine walking down the street, seeing a chair on the pavement for diners outside a restaurant, and just being able to sit and people watch. That's all. Chairs are for sitting in...and not just for NPC's. Not every building can be enterable BUT you could put some life behind those windows. Let's face it, buildings in games are just there for dressing, but it would add to the realism even if you had animated people going about their business in their apartments, some of the apartments of course, drawing curtains, stood at the window, looking out of windows, moving past windows. I don't think I've ever seen this in big city open world games and it's probably too resource heavy but Christ it would add something to the world. Especially if you like night walking the streets like I do in night city. I've just finished playing TearDown and the fire spread and smoke propagation in that game is something to behold. Organic events like that across a sprawling game would be an amazing addition to realism for the fire department in GTA6. Oh and vehicle damage...you don't have to get all BeamNG, but at least have better deformation of vehicles that reflect real life impact on various objects. I want the vehicle to mirror my consequences for driving like a lunatic. Peace x

It’s a PS3 game I understand that but RDR2 was a PS5 game and it was clunky af. Every time you picked something up God forbid you looted it would take ages. Jumping fences in different ways. Opened car doors in different ways. Night walking creeping the streets press triangle towards a car you like as you creep and the animation goes to the head looking around trying to be incognito. Pulls out tool shakes it around etc. or if it’s still early evening it’s a faster animation of taxing the car. If you’re getting chased by someone with a gun you elbow the window jump in hot wire and bounce. They need to learn from Naughty Dog how the hand touches the rails as you walk up steps, touches the wall too just generally interacting with the world around you such as kicking a broken branch if you’re walking slowly through the woods would surprise the hell out of me coz the AI in the game recognises I’m in chill mode. Late night driving listening to the radio call the radio station and have a list of options on dialogue as you drive past a billboard telling you not to text and drive. I wanna see people coming home as I drive past a neighbourhood home they pull into their driveway, the front door opens and it’s the wife or whatever. Cops need to relax, end of story on that issue. You can’t just have on/off switch for them and stars. There needs to be protocol. Tickets, warnings and warrants for their aggression to be real. Where’s the FIB cars rolling around. Pull over, get out and walk the line as an alcohol test and you’ve actually been drinking lol you fail then go to prison and have to sit there for 3 hours. It’s another world in game. NPC who are lifers and each hour is a day so you’ve gotta go out into the yard and make a reputation for yourself or something else coz you might end up in there again and again and you could eventually run shyt from inside too. Have mini games and missions inside. It could be implemented online too. Online prison fights whoever wins all fights gets released. As you said when you walk past a coffee shop let their be people inside in line and sitting on their laptops etc add to the effect and make the world feel alive. Why can’t I buy property and add editions to it? Upgrade to a concrete stencilled driveway, nicer lawn and garden, garage add on, lights, hoop, let us feel like we live there too. Come around and watch the renovations. Pay the builder on site the money you owe him, he’s always bugging you for it. It means nothing but it makes it feel real. Teenagers won’t understand. Much more gore. There are games that shyt on GTA with gore and it should be the other way around. It s a crime simulator you should be able to blast someone’s head off from a mile away, jet pack to the body and capture the photo of the 50’calibre hole to the chest no shoulder arm ripped off screaming his lungs out gasping for breath then passes out from shock. If he’s with his wife she either faints, runs or cry’s at his body then either freaks out or runs at you in agony asking you why why did you kill my husband what did he do to you? It’s his birthday we were celebrating we have a son why why. OMG if NPC had reactions that are real with others that are funny or just fun and drama etc then you would never know what interaction you could have and it would tempt you to see how far you can push it then if you get filmed for doing some really fkt up shyt and they social media your a55 you automatically get the army after you 😅 No more MAPS! No more markers! I agree, we’re not children just let us find it inside the world and don’t give us time limits anymore. Let us get there how we want. The neighbourhoods are too small. You never feel like you’re truly deep inside a neighbourhood or the suburbs. I guess theirs no children in the game to make it feel real to see busses at certain times dropping kids off etc. it would add so much realism. Wild animals such as cats and squirrels should be abundant. If I get into a semi trailer and I reach top speed in 2 seconds I’m gonna bread the disc and launch it. I wanna feel like I’m driving a truck not just look like I’m driving an 18 wheeler. It’s 5am. What a nice video to watch. You’re very respectful. Make more videos of your opinions coz it’s not like ign or gameranx, you go deep into it which most of us have said to ourselves too. Cheers from down under.

For the vehicle damage thing, i think the best choice for rockstar to make is options for it, realistic or arcadish, also increasing/decreasing realism of anything, realism lovers did'nt wait 10 years for unrealistic damage system, but also people who don't play games for realism did'nt wait 10 years to have their rarest cars turn into something impossible to fix.

The one thing that most GTA fans can agree on is that we want something more out of the story mode. I'm sure they'll have lots of new gameplay features but given the story they told in RDR2, they set a standard that they can really build on. There's plenty of room to keep the satyr in the game that we're all use to and love with GTA but there's no reason a great story can't be built around the main characters.

I hope that GTA VI's story missions follow a Bonnie and Clyde and Breaking Bad storyline. I hope that the story of Jason and Lucia have them stumble upon the drug trade (as that's what Vice City is all about) by accident and they go from being amateurs in the beginning and, by the end of the game, become the most powerful and uncontested drug kingpins of Vice City. That would be a cool story to fit in the environment of Vice City.

amen to everything you said. the story mode in gta 5 always felt forgettable to me exactly because there were no interesting antagonists. i ultimately didnt care where the story went cause it was always just lukewarm. i see gta online as an experiment they later tried to flesh out but a gamemode thats fleshed out from the start could really elevate the whole experience to the next level in gta 6. making open world combat fair and fun and adding more seemless content instead of having these freakin loading screens should be their priority here.

funnily enough, now that i'm replaying gta 4, i also feel that it has a similar problem, but not in the same aspect as 5's, this time, the missions themselves (NOT the story) wound up being kinda forgettable, whereas gta 5's missions are more memorable due to the amount of crazy shit you do, raiding a lab, stealing a plane in midair, riding a bike over a train, having a shootout in your own house, saving lamar twice from the ballas, having a three way firefight in a mall, etc, which kinda mitigates the fact that the characters themselves beyond the three main characters and lamar aren't as memorable as the cast in gta 4. imo, gta 4 had worse mission design than 5, since a lot of the missions were you driving to some apartment/hotel/warehouse and shooting your way through to kill one guy, i feel that this especially happens in the 2nd half of the story (once niko starts getting involved with the italian mafias and becomes a hitman), and kinda undermines the rising tension of meeting a bigger antagonist after killing the last one, if you asked me for a cutoff point, i'd say that three leaf clover is the last memorable mission gameplay wise, afterwards the lore really carries the story mode, which means that you essentially just kinda forget all the missions that aren't meaningful to the plot. the good thing is that it doesn't feel like that much of a problem because the story is still brilliant, so you still remember missions like blood brothers, and the gunplay in gta 4 was satisfying af, i think that a gta 4-esque storyline with gta 5's mission design would be the best thing for gta 6, maybe with a bit more freedom than rdr2.

I really want rockstar to stop making missions so restrictive and separate from the open world. I don’t think there will be anything to worry about in terms of storytelling. At least I hope, but having had a good decade to really brainstorm and craft a worthy project, I think R* will perform just fine. Love what you suggested here, couldn't agree more. What I want to see improve: the combat, driving, and player choice. Melee was a big improvement in RDR2 so I hope they bring that over to GTA and the ability to K-O NPCs. I hated it when you melee an NPC in GTA they'd go out like it's a lethal blow. GTA IV is the sole exception. Driving right now feel too arcade like, a better balance between IV and V driving would be awesome. Player Choice was nice to see in GTA IV, but I'd like to see it go back to how it was with GTA III as well where there were optional ways to carry out a mission. I get R* likes to tell stories, but player agency is important too. I don't see harm in that given we can do what we please in the Open World outside of missions that would be out of the Protagonist's character.

I’m sorry to inform you, but if you have seen the GTA VI leaks there is evident proof of an even more Arcady car handling experience than in GTA V. Your car wheels seems to be one with the ground with no sign of any suspension, bouncing or any other movement. Although, it may have still been in development, so I still have hopes in that they realised the potential of a semi-realistic driving experience.

@@yan00b42 That's not proof of anything. I was so sad when they cancelled story mode dlc's. Don't let it happen again. Gta is known for it's story mode, not online. Other than that I expect many interiors. Airports, restaurants, malls, cafes etc. Don't lock them after missions.

Since the end of 2013, 99% of GTA players have spent more time online than offline, it's just a fact. After all, a story, no matter how good, will end at somepoint...while something like GTA online can go on for ages just by releasing some cars and clothes every 3-4 months

There is a lot that GTA 6 can learn from GTA 5. First off hopefully this game actually has good characters in the story mode that and hopefully the story will be a lot better too. I hope the open world actually has interesting things to do in a crime related way like for example they could add a bunch of criminal businesses similar to what they have in GTA Online. The open world needs to have a lot less empty space that is just there so they can brag about how big the map is. They need to improve physics and character AI massively so NPC's will feel alive as they go about their lives doing a lot of different things in the open world. We need good ragdoll physics back again so when you run somebody over or get into a shootout they actually fall and react realistically. They need to improve the wanted system so that you don't automatically get a wanted level when you shoot somebody in the middle of nowhere. They need to add a lot better car customization so you can really do anything you want with your car. They need to actually make it so that when you purchase a car in the story mode that you actually own it and that it doesn't disappear. They also need to add a lot more interiors to add to the immersion of the open world. GTA 6 definitely has a lot of stuff that they can improve on from GTA 5 and I hope it doesn't disappoint especially after all of these years of waiting.

i totally agree on the martin madrazo thing you have going on, where in this alternate story line midrazo is like this corrupt war lord that can buy anything and is the one behind merryweather doing his dirty work, maybe even got steve hanes to cover his ass for all the bad stuff hes doing, but if im honest it sounds like a farcry game.

RDR2 had a reason behind everything you could do which made it so compelling . For example - yes in gta v there were animals and u had gun , mean you could hunt them but .... WHY ? Thats where RDR2 ways incredible , you would hunt for your survival , for the camp share , for the skin , custom cloths .

I honestly wouldn't mind if they changed and recycled some of the realism from rdr2 into gta 6 but with a few changes, like let us complete a mission however we want, make car damage like in gta 4, make some buildings have interiors and make them enterable, storywise i have somewhat high hopes of rockstar still being great at storywriting.

@thedrewbster8636

I think GTA5s story does just fine without a large focus on the antagonists. The main conflict of the story is between Michael and Trevor. Michael betraying his former psycho crew member, only to inconveniently reunite with him 10 years later. We spend half the game waiting for Trevor to discover the truth, and eventually he does, creating a huge divide within the trio. I found this dynamic between these characters more interesting than the rest of the GTA games. Most of the previous games followed a very similar formula. GTA 3, Revenge plot, antagonist - Catalina GTA VC, Rags to riches, then revenge, antagonist - sonny GTA SA, revenge plot, antagonist - Tenpenny GTA 4, revenge plot, antagonist - Dimitri I feel like GTA 5 is something completely different and unique. It isn't just a story of revenge, it's a story of forgiveness, if you chose ending C. (Trevor forgiving Michael) Given that GTA VI is a love story, we can hope for something more than just a revenge driven plot-line.

I agree with all his points but my main gripes are to keep the economy stable, an example of this is the new police cars in gta online nearly priced around a fighter jet. There can be things that are 10+ mil but also have a few that are less that 10k and make price and use correlate well. My other point is make the jobs and the payout make sense. Survivals if solo are between 24-36k in gtao no matter the survivals difficulty. One of the best paying jobs is cayo and people are already able to farm it without any difficulties at all. There should be very difficult but high paying jobs and super easy low paying jobs. Oh and also make properties not a necessity to make bank just make it so they allow extra ways to make money

More than anything I just want GTA 6 Online to go back to basics, yet be innovative and enjoyable for everyone. Most importantly I want it to actually be grounded in the time period and setting of the story, don't sell out and add all these flying rocket bikes and other futuristic shit, just keep it semi realistic. As for the actual game, I hope story mode has the level of depth as RDR 2 and GTA IV, those 2 are my 2 fav Rockstar titles, I don't mind the over the top action of GTA 5 but 6 needs to even it out with in depth story telling, character development and an impactful environment and atmosphere.. Also really hope we get SP DLC's this time again.
@munchers2000
@munchers2000 6 ай бұрын
the online mode needs A LOT of changes. I really don't want another unrewarding unfun money simulator, or at least make it fun and rewarding. For starters, make any activity valid and equal for money making, so that there aren't 100 ways to make money but only 2 of them are worth your time for the money. Maybe more focus on level rewards rather than money, and please no forced PvP or season passes

You’re absolutely correct about the antagonist and the details Of the world. But I would also add the protagonist were very bland and generic, except Trevor. I would love for GTA 6 to have a more serious tone like RDR2 and GTA 4, of course with the normal splash of satire. GTA5 felt cartoony at times. Almost like Saints row.

@ThatsMySkill
@ThatsMySkill 6 ай бұрын
i dont see environment destruction coming to gta 6 in a big way. theres always drawbacks you have to do in order to add these. simplifying buildings is one of them and judging from how much care rockstar puts into designing every building and how they likely aim for the best graphics they can produce, i doubt they would do that. also that would mean they'd have to make it available in online wich is very taxing on the servers. physics on their own were toned down in gta 5 compared to gta 4 exactly because of gta online. i also dont think gta necessarily needs this. im open for surprises tho if they can somehow make it work.

you’re so underplaying the gta5 antagonist, stretch was much more than just one mission, the mission where lamar kidnapped the baller had play in it, the mission where u save lamar from the sawmill had play in it, stretch wanted lamar and franklin dead because of lamar’s horrible decisions, and stretch went out trying to find a fox with his ideas, he believed in a gang social hierarchy, he believed since he was an og, all the little people owed him, and he manipulated lamar into beleiving this, and he was slowly succumbing to his lies until stretch tried to ice him, which that and franklin made him realize what’s going on, and if u choose A or B, lamar won’t even go outside in fear of stretch coming after him

I feel it might go the way of Call of Duty. The campaigns and multiplayer were so good when they had competition like Medal of Honor, Battlefield, Halo, etc. Now we see games being a live service model with a big emphasis on multi-player first and campaign (maybe) second. Rockstar has always been the exception to the standard, but they always had competition also, even if they were miles behind. We have less than a week before the reveal. I'm excited but concerned for the gaming industry. If this game fails in the slightest, we might be in a gaming recession.
