A: Because they're parked illegally and take up space our customers need, 24 hours.
Q: But it's night-time. Businesses are closed at night. Do you really have to tow at night?
A: Yes. This business is NOT closed at night. It's very common for techs to visit in the overnight times in order to do maintenance on servers and systems. It's also possible that deliveries may need to be made during after-hours times.
Q: How do you know if it's a customer or not?
A: There is various technology at work to help with this. But the simplest answer is that if they're not in the building and they haven't checked in with the tech desk, their car doesn't belong in the lot.
Q: You suck.
A: That's not a question, but I get the point. And I've heard it all before. I understand you think you've got a witty, original insult for me. You probably don't. Save yourself the humiliation.
Q: Do you read the comments?
A: Sometimes against my better judgement, generally, yes.
Q: Why don't you just rent out spaces and make money?
A: Because that would eliminate parking spaces for the real customers of the business. It's not worth the few bucks.
Q: Do you get paid a fee or kickback for the towed cars?
A: No.
Q: Are there signs posted about not to park?
A: Yes. No fewer than 6. Usually more if they're not damaged or destroyed.
Q: Your signs are misleading. Do they say 24 hours? Should they be mounted differently?
A: The signs specify 24 hours / 7 days a week. They're mounted in accordance with local laws.
Q: How many cameras do you have?
A: More than 60. Some you can see, some are hidden.
Q: What kind of cameras do you use?
A: A lot of different kinds, based on the application.
Q: Do you feel bad for these people who get towed?
A: Most of the time, not really.
Q: Why are you making fun of the people who get towed?
A: I'm not. I'm posting the videos because I think they're entertaining and educational.
Q: How come you never post videos of cars that belong there?
A: Because that wouldn't be entertaining at all. It would be completely boring.
Q: Why don't you stop people from parking?
A: Sometimes we do! It all depends on if we are able to catch what's happening live, but the company's techs have their jobs to do and are not always available to have their eyes glued to the parking lot cameras and be able to run outside.

I used to hang around the security team at a shopping mall where I worked as a salesman, security footage is one of the most entertaining stuff ever. People are just weird when they don't realize that they are being filmed, from scratching and smelling themselves to doing pep talks to themselves and dressing up, doesn't matter if it's the parking lot or an empty hallway, people just act differently when they are alone. You can usually see the moment that they look around and go "I'm clear, time to do it".

I love this because I lived at a house that was right across the street from a public playground. I got so sick and tired of people using our home as a place to park whenever there was a big event there. Complete strangers not only were parking on private property, but they were blocking us from using our own driveway to and from our own home. My husband worked at the local hospital and would literally not be able to come home from work or leave home to go to work because so many people kept parking in our driveway. I put up signs telling people. "private property, do not park here". And I laughed with glee when their vehicles got towed away. A couple times the people had the nerve to knock on our door to complain. I mean what did they expect? How would they like complete strangers just parking in their driveway? Bet they wouldn't like it either.

I'm unfamiliar with cable TV tows. I have to assume though, there's interpersonal conflict between the tow truck driver and the person whose car is being towed, while in reality those that tow unauthorized parkers or tow repos go out of their way to avoid contact with the driver.

I love how you do the after images the ghost images of the vehicle leaving when the person is there trying to figure out where their vehicle is I also love the fact that you put the year make model of what vehicle it is and some of the information about it so that way other people know what kind of vehicle or what they're looking at you learn quite a bit from these videos I love it

I was towed once when I was a teenager. I was towed off Charter at in New Orleans. Scared the living crap outta me. I thought the car had been stolen at first. I never saw the sign and was too inexperienced of a driver to know about unloading zones. I found the impound lot and paid the $60ish to get it out. Now I 👀 for signs. 😂

I watched video about Amsterdam police handling illegally parked cars. Before towing it, they also open the driver's door to undo the hand brake I guess. They had it open in literally seconds. Faster than any owner could open it with the keys without a scratch

I was super stressed and late to an important appointment and the only availble parking I found was like quarter mile off and I just parked and ran like a mad woman. The parking ticket time stamp shows it was on my car less then 5minutes after I left🤣

The problem is too many properties use fake signs which people ignore all the time. Case in point: the place I used to work at *used* to tow non-employees but then once people caught on that their cars would get towed, people stopped parking there.... So the company in all its brilliance decided not to renew the contract with the tow company but kept the signs up. So now, people park there and they never get towed so they know the signs are a bluff. These signs are real!

This is so satisfying.. I mean just one video and you get the gist of how frustrating that parking situation is over there. Trying to run a business but not necessarily trying to be a jackass either. Guy goes out of his way to literally put speakers around to warn people and they still don't listen lmao. The tow driver who has that route has got to be like notorious around there.
