Thanks so much for the video. I'm looking forward to the second half. Your car sounds exactly like 787B.

This car gets sicker every time I see it. I remember when you began to post about your plans to go with an NA 20B engine. I loved the idea, but never imagined you would have ran with it the way you did! I loved seeing the development of that engine and watching you get more and more power out of it. It's amazing what you've accomplished, but even more amazing that no matter what you continue making the car better and better. I'm absolutely blown away. Thanks for this video!

Those "logs" that were made are just bloody genius. We have quite a few 4 rotors here in NZ, but I've never seen anyone combat oil/water Temps other than running more pressure and bigger coolers, those logs and hardlines have just blown my mind. Really interested in knowing how they enter the block and how it impacts existing flow/pressure.

Really cool to see some seriously well done rotary racecar engineering. Wiggins everything is insane and awesome, I lost it when I saw the wiggins on the oil lines. Such a cool car, I hope to see more videos talking about design/engineering aspects.

Thats great insight to an awesome car. 1 question though... with all the extra precautions and engineering to safeguard cooling and oil etc why do you run a single belt to the alt and pump? ie, why not run a twin belt set up?
@GTORx7
@GTORx7 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I would have preferred twin belt, but the pulley arrangement for the drysump drive just didn't allow it. Its proven to have no durability issues through the years, so I trust it.

The aero lesson in the beginning was the exact reason why my Dad's 1986 Rx7 would get hot during top speed runs at El Mirage dry lake. In 1990 he set a speed record in Bonneville for 1.3 litre engines. 202.2 mph on 13B. I can appreciate the work & effort you obviously put forth. Nothing sounds like Rotary. I inherited my Dad's 72 Rx2, occasionally I'll open it up in my neighborhood to remind the Fast & Furious fanboys what time is..

That is completely amazing. Was that with racing beat?
@H8er-Maker
@H8er-Maker 4 жыл бұрын
@@GTORx7 I don't know what Racing Beat is. He was a privateer, no sponsorship. It was a normal aspiration 13b, record stood for 9yrs. I still have the time ticket, shows how fast he was going at each mile marker up to the 8th & final mile. Now days you can buy cars right off the showroom that can do over 200mph in a mile.

Super smart, logical, well thought out ..*EFFICIENT* ... and even beautiful looking & SOUNDING. And: It's simple. Which could sound like like I didn't appreciate what went in to it. Nope ... in fact -- there's nothing more difficult in this world ... than *creating* simplicity. *I'd like more info on the:* • Blade sway bars that're _adjustable during a race_ ...? • Brake bias that's adjustable ... _FROM the brake pedal_ ...?
@GTORx7
@GTORx7 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! Yes the sway bars have cables that run to the blade and then inside the cabin with levers for front and rear. The brake pedal has a adjuster with a cable running to a hand dial. The adjuster moves the pedal force more to one master clyinder vs the other.

@GTORx7

Depends on a few things, but the faster of a class it races in, then definitely needs more r&d. Closer it is to stock you can rely on the factory engineering.

@@GTORx7 thanks for your response. do you have any recommendations to how someone on his mid-twenties can develop himself to become a hobby race car driver? I have some experience on auto-x, drifting, and karting but never been to a track day and currently don't even have a sport car.

@@nice1149ss it's a great time to be alive, today's technology is very advanced. Investing in a decent driving simulator rig and running i-racing is what I recommend. It's insanely realistic and you will actually learn real race tracks. Dollar to experience ratio can't be beat, and then you can set funds aside and buy a affordable fun weekend warrior car.
