I would like if you do a video analizing how to adjust our 3b frequencys based on villain response, like : villain calls VS 3b too much, how less should we 3b? I have doubts if It is worthy to 3 bet less, since rake structure seems to not change 3bet frequencys too much, even if villain calls more especially SB vs BTN simple solution. In general i nthink preflop things are very interesting because we havnt access to nodelock them with our std PCs. And 3bets and VS 3bet response seems very interesting to nodelock. Maybe a btn VS co, SB VS btn, bb VS Sb. I mean explain how theory behind It works, because i cant understand It very good so im SB villain BTN paying 3bets with 64s type of hands, how It affects my 3bet?, in what point It hurts me to 3bet too less? Because in bb It seems to not hurt too much to 3bet less i think?, but in sb a hand like Q9s seems to be a 3b or fold ev 0, so since btn IS calling too much It Will be worthit (More than -50bb\100) to 3bet because btn have a weaker Range postflop? or It Will be a fold because we havnt enaugh folds preflop? can you explain theory behind It clear? how equilibrium here works? it seems that it will be close to mantain frequencys in SB even with simple solution even if BTN is paying more than he should And in BB how less frecuency It Will be 3beting VS a btn Who pays way more? It Will take a linear range but how affects frequencys? And in BTN VS CO? It seems very interesting topic for a video and a onea that i would love

Really good vid. Perhaps you could add absurd rakes structures, like they exist in live cash games. like my game is 2/2€ raked at 5% with a 20€ cap. would love to see the strategy impact in that structure.

In high rake environments like NL50, as you mentionned, the raising sizes of the blinds go up (12/13/14 BB), and IP defender is no longer allowed to call as wide as before (as you said he is supposed to 4bet more than call). How can I exploit opponents that will not 4bet bluff enough but that will also call too wide? Let's take BB 3bet range as an example: should I stop bluffing? should I change my bluffs, stopping 3betting the polarized K4s and A7o and 3betting T8s and Q9s instead? (in order to combat calls) Should I still keep a GTO approach? I would like to hear your point of view on this one, because being 4bet bluffed less is +EV for our threshold hands, but being called too much is -EV for our threshold hands, especially in high rake environments.
@GTOWizard
@GTOWizard Жыл бұрын
Use a linear value-heavy 3betting range in that case. Your K3s stuff isn't getting enough fold equity to bluff, so instead you'd use hands like suited broadways, suited connectors that do better postflop but don't want to face a 4bet.

Since gg charges preflop rake, should we always 3bet linear ? And with the format of 9max with ante , how does it affect with our strategy preflop coz it seems like offset with the effect of rake and incentivize us to steal preflop? I really wish to know the answer on this, thanks!

I have few unanswered questions … Does rakeback influence playstyle ? Does splash pot rake should be taken in account when building our range ? (For exemple winamax offer a splah spot format where the rake is 5.75%+4.25%(for the splash pot))

Rakeback can theoretically influence your playstyle by lowering your rake. We have GG splash pots in our preflop cash solutions!

is it true that in micros high rake especially, we want to play deep as possible and build bigger pots to get above that high cap? my rake structure is the typical 8bb cap at 5% I believe.
@ffishcakess
@ffishcakess Жыл бұрын
Assuming you don't have preflop rake I think one of the most important things for high rake environments (micros) is trying to take pots down preflop more, especially since many people don't defend preflop aggression enough in micros. (more 3betting, stealing blinds, 3x open size if that generates enough folds, no limping/flatting from almost all positions)
@lucademilio1744

@tombos211 how will adjust vs who open too much on high rake environment? Like vs someone who open 60 from btn (2.2x) we are forced to call more? Or our call will stay the same and we will increase 3bet?tyty
@GTOWizard
@GTOWizard Жыл бұрын
If they're opening too wide you can call and 3bet more than GTO. For example, if someone opens 45% from the CO, you would defend in the BB as if it were a BTN open. To get exact ranges for e.g. 60% open requires a preflop solver, which is something we're working on.

Okay but what about live games where the house rakes 100bb per 100 hands (roughly) at 1/2-1/3 and 60bb/100 at 2/5? This is 12x and 7x more than the "high" rake structures at NL25.

you probably can´t win, but if you can you don´t need GTO there because you need a table full of big whales, but very big whales

It comes down to whether or not your edge in those games exceeds the rake. If the rake structure is absurd you need to be a huge winner to compensate for it.

@@GTOWizard How is a rake structure "absurd" when a good rake structure is roughly ~50bb/100 at a 2/5 live game. Edit: I think I answered my question by watching the video. The rake cap is hit at 20bb pots at 2/5 and 17bb at 1/3.
