Those are some nice bass. I grew up fishing with minnows and thats how I hooked them too, lower lip up through the nostril. They will live longer that way. That Shimano twin power looks likes a nice reel...I can't wait to use mine 😊... Great video and great tips on catching fish in the hot summer.

@@234kwon honestly it comes down to personal preference. I like the certate more but that’s because I like how Daiwas feel more than Shimano, but if I didn’t have that certate I would be using the twin power non-stop. It’s an awesome reel. Doesn’t feel as light as the certate, but I honestly think it might be a little stronger. It feels like it brings the fish in quicker!

You can either park under the 55 bridge in front of waterworks and walk the trail down the right side of the fence, or you can go in through lefleurs bluff state park and walk the trail along the river. Just be careful, this spot is dangerous and you can only get on the dam like I do when the river is all the way down and there’s no fast current. It’s a death trap with any real current going over it

Yessir, as far as public water spots go this is a pretty good one. Almost always at least drum around, but in the summer we get a lot of nice bass there chilling in the current!
