Then He said in Matthew's gospel chapter 18 verse 17 that whoever does not obey the pope will go to hell. 2 popes cannot bind each other and you have been given the wrong information on Pius V. BTW, changing the order of mass is not changing the faith. The preVatican 2 church teaches that if you judge the pope you are automatically excommunicated. The TLM is the Latin mass of 1962 and the Novus Ordo is the Latin mass of 1969. Look closer, 1962-1969 are the years of Vatican 2. The TLM is the mass of Vatican 2, if you don't understand why this is a problem then you have not done enough research. This movement is a scam.

What if it is not God’s will? How do you test this? You compare it to the words of God found in scripture. God says in Matthew’s gospel chapter 18, that if you disobey the pope you will go to hell. So if Pope Francis says no Latin mass then you cannot attend it. If you disobey then the mass will be a black that profanes the body of Christ.

And the Mass that once was sacred can never be profane (a Pope said that, so I guess you have to absolutely accept this fact blindly, in your view). This is not how Catholicism works. The Pope is the Supreme Pontiff, but he is not a god who makes and unmakes sacredness at will. That's not what Matthew 18 teaches.

@@cfban The Pope has put major restrictions on the 1962 mass. He is still allowing the FSSP to function. Now here are the words of Jesus talking about what the pope can do, "And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven" (Matthew 16:19). John the apostle talks about the pope's authority, "These things saith the Holy One and the true one, he that hath the key of David; he that openeth, and no man shutteth; shutteth, and no man openeth" (Rev 3:7). So yes the pope can do these things.

The current Mass leaves me wanting. When the Mass was in Latin, it connected me to hundreds and hundreds of years of the Church. It meant something. If you wanted to know what the words meant, there it was in the next column of your missal. I haven't been to Mass in years.

If for your whole life you did not understand God until you saw a painting from Michael Angelo, then God certainly made use of it to bring you to a greater faith. That is fine. But once you start claiming that that specific painting rather than sacred art itself is necessary for you to maintain your new found faith and the only thing that can bring others to that same faith, I would argue that you have sort of missed the point. The old form of the Mass is beautiful and will always be preserved in some way. My problem is the bashing of the mainstream New Order of the Mass and the claim that it is preventing Catholics from seeing their own heritage. That sort of ideology is not only dangerous, but disturbing and a grave error. You should be able to promote the beauty of the old form without bashing others. Beauty defends itself.

I remember aa a little kid everyone attending Mass in Latin and unless you had a book u didn't know what they were saying because u did not know Latin but I don't mind if people chose the Tridentine Mass. Right now Francis is like trying to murder that, and that's not right. Archbishop Lefebvre deserves more respect than many ones in the church. Something that many traditional catholics might don't know is the process of excommunication was irregular from A to Z (start to finish). Something more, Rome didn't give him the chance to defense with a cannonical lawyer. The prosecutions in the church are similar than civilian ones.
