Fun game! I did catch something that isn't quite right, though. You aren't capped to using overheat by your heat scale. You can use up to all of your OV, even if that would put you over shutdown.

Yeah, he's overheating to do damage to armor rather than using it crit-seek and not maintaining distance to max his long range clan firepower.

I´m a simple person, i see "Battletech: Alpha Strike" on the title and i press like.

As someone who recently got the AS starter box (and then subsequently bought three lance boxes, the Battletech core box, and then two additional lance boxes), I really need to get some TMM dice instead of using the tokens. I can see how they could really speed the game up!

I know you have gone over it some before, but is there a list of all the homebrew/optional rules you use when playing alpha strike? I know a dice pool of one par/damage and each does one, and it looks like you activate per model vs per lance/star. Anything else that I'm missing?

so i do have a question. are you rolling 2D6 for each single point of damage? If yes, i assume this makes for a much more dynamic shooting phase. The only reason why I am asking is because, my self and a few friends are getting into playing and more or less I'm leading the charge on teaching people how to play. thankyou for these amazing videos too. been learning a lot from watching them

How is it at the end of the first rd, the non clanner was able to move so many units? I thought the staggered movement rolls were designed to prevent that.

the mech had 6 dice at that range plus he overheated 4, so he rolled 10 dice for his firepower.

I like being able to play with my whole Collection, and get a couple games in during a single sessions so Alpha Strike tends to be my go-to for this universe.
