@ We live in Columbus, GA. Train tracks are not too far from our house. My granddaughter can hear the trains blow the horns. Our city also has trains that come through our downtown streets after crossing the Chattahoochee River from Phenix City, AL. Our main tracks are still part of downtown and you can see the switching. The city is in the process of building another train overpass which is a major project for a very busy 4 lane spider web intersection!

The efficiency and volume of North American Railways is magnificent. According to data from the Surface Transportation Board, on average, there are around 12,000 Class 1 freight trains moving every day in the United States, and Canada moves 330 million tones. I get goose bumps.

Thank you, Jaw Tooth, for another fantastic video from your 15 November 2024 trip to the Walton, Kentucky area. You caught a lot of trains in Walton, Kentucky on this day. Norfolk Southern's Interstate Railroad Heritage Unit was a bonus surprise as a trailing unit at the head of that train. You also caught a couple of CSX trains going under Norfolk Southern's Rat Hole bridge. I enjoyed watching the trains in this video. (Posted on 22 November 2024 at 1601 CST.)

So many comments less than an hour after you posted this long video, Jaw Tooth. Y’all have some devoted early morning fans! Including me too, I guess. I’m still watching it, just got done with the second CSX train under the bridge. Slow and short, but that angle makes them enjoyable to watch. Great video so far, buddy. I for one am pretty grateful for your passion for trains and for railroads in general , and for your tenacity when braving uncomfortable weather conditions, and your patience in waiting for the trains. You’re a railfan rock star! Watching your channel from the heart of the Ozarks for seven years and counting now, and it just keeps getting better! The great train footage, the “Live Action Pets, and your “Live Action Kids” competing in various sports, like the soccer match you put in yesterday’s video. Those girls are quite good at soccer, scoring most of their team’s goals. They’re stars in their own right! You’re a blessed man with a great family. You’re also a blessing to your viewers because of the things that I mentioned above. God bless you and yours, and keep you all healthy, prosperous, and protected, in Jesus’ name. 🙏🏼🚂👍🏼🇺🇸✝️👊🏼🛤️

The train speed going up, or down is part of a system designed to keep engineers from falling asleep. Every 15 min or so they need to adjust train speed up or down or the train will eventually automatically stop. It is a small task, not hard to do but keeps them engaged in safely running their trains.
@LesaShiminskiАй бұрын
All engines also have a push button system. Engineer has to push a button or alarm will sound. If no response alarm gets louder and louder. Still no response train brakes come on.

Good video! I like the trains going under the bridge. That gizmo gadget is pretty handy. I like how it pops up like a whack a mole game.Ha! Do the train engineers not like seeing you use the gizmo? Have you ever recorded a train pass and then heard the defect detector say that there was some type of defect? What was that dpu in the center of that one train that was kind of a pink purple color? I watch a video from a person up in Canada and when she wants to give her five dogs peanut butter treats she puts it on her finger and smears it on the front of the dogs leg! They lay down and seem to enjoy licking it off.
