Very good to hear Dr Sri talk, I’ve never listened to his talks and now I will! Funny about the bouquet of weeds: once my youngest son presented me with a bouquet he picked from the wet area by our house and it was…skunk cabbage! I started laughing, and explained what it was, and his reaction was so instant and hilarious, he flung the leaves away, and now this sounds awful as I type it but it was so instant and hilarious we were both laughing and I kissed his face and thanked him for the bouquet but then told him to smell his hands and the leaves and I told him how my dad taught me about skunk cabbage when I was little and it was a great moment. He and I and my daughter were all laughing and loving each other. That is my real bouquet, and theirs. Moms always get the weeds, and no matter what they are, they’re wonderful. ❤️

This is so true, both Mother and Father need a deep interior life to have a good marriage that is the most important environment for their children to live in. May parents realize the beautiful effects on their family and society as a whole with this fundamental issue of a deep and holy interior prayer life. 🎚🙏🙏🙏🙏🎚 25:32

Catholics tell you to pray but they don't tell you HOW to pray. I had to turn to Eastern techniques -- Mindfulness of Breath is so helpful. My favourite little book is 'The Miracle of Mindfulness' by Thich Nhat Hanh. It is online.

I'm no mystic, but we have a ton of saints and many of them wrote about prayer. I think you're making assumptions about the Church's treasury.

Well, I never found any instruction on how to pray. Now, it is true that Devotions are no longer permitted after V2 and that was a great source of, well, devotion. Anyway, you should try Buddhist 'Mindfulness of Breath. It works well.@@fragwagon

Keep searching. I’d recommend reading books on the lives of St Terese of Lisoux(sp) or St Catherine of Siena, or St Padre Pio, or the 3 children of Fatima. Or just read the Bible. Prayer is just speaking to God. Respectfully, with Love, and consistently. Giving God our actions as well as our words.

Pray often. Learn Scripted prayers and after time of digesting them you’ll learn how. Learn meditation and finding God in those quiet moments
