I could not this week end...but they just extended the beta !!! Now, time to learn !

i have 0 experience with fighting games and i bought this on a whim, and i got really attached to a.b.a, and was winning matches against my roommate (who was also brand new to fighting games) entirely in normal mode, only changing into moroha mode on complete accident, and i had no idea a.b.a's normal mode was some of the worst stuff in the game. thank you for making this so concise, i can't wait to start practicing!

@@funkuro Oh, sure. It's probably not as exciting as you were hoping for but I have a degenerative muscle condition that has steadily gotten worse since I posted this last. It has limited my fine motor movement so I can't play as much as I want, and feel like competing online is entirely not viable with my condition due to how often I need little "time outs" to regain feeling and movement in my fingers. I did get a dedicated fighting game keyboard that helps sometimes and whenever I have a good day, my roommate and I have a really fun time just playing local co-op! A.B.A is still my main and I love her dearly and I'm still learning a lot about how she functions every match! I think I would benefit using an arcade stick to put less strain on my hands, and then I feel like I could really get good with her! I know how she works in and out in theory, it's just a matter of my hands letting me execute it.

I know this video is 8 years old, but this was discovered literally yesterday, its related to the 1:45 stuff: TLDR the stuff that drains your moroha gauge is not the fact of hitting your opponent, the game penalices your gauge depending on the amount of damage you inflicted to yourself(the more damage you do, the more you self inflict and your gauge drains faster). This is much easier to notice in Goku Moroha, but if u are in a pixel of hp you can mold your opponent and crank they risc w/o your gauge being penaliced, and you´ll be able to go into the big damaging routes and still have +50 gauge... I have a video in my channel about it... Anyways dope content and guides UwU

She doesn’t sound beginner-friendly, but a couple days of practice and some AI runs will get you adjusted to her. Not to Masterclass levels, mind you, but the time and effort is a start

@@williamcolon4070 She's not coming to Strive, sadly. Her moveset was pretty much aped by Nagoryuki, minus her recovery options and a few other things, which is why Nago feels incomplete. Aside from the missing stuff, he's nearly identical outside of cosmetics; his combos are the same and instead of the fireball he has a clone jutsu projectile slide with the same exact range. The devs have already said they want all their characters to be 100% unique, so they won't have two characters with the same combos, specials and gimmicks in the same game. I think that sucks because I really like A.B.A. and was hoping she'd make it into GGST as DLC, and I honestly think Nago looks cool but he really should've had his own moveset instead of what feels like a lazy copy and poor implementation of a superior and fan-favorite character who has a lot more to add story-wise after her AC+R appearance to the immediate post-Xrd storyline than a brand-new character. Literally the only reason Nago is a vampire is to justify why he has A.B.A.'s blood gimmick, but it's not as well thought out as Paracelsus is, IMHO. Unless one of the two gets a SIGNIFICANT reinvention, don't expect both in the same game. I think this really sucks because I don't see why she should be reinvented to make room for a new character who half-assed a direct copy of her moveset, instead of the new character having his own original moveset. Feels like a slap in the face, IMHO.

I was told among the characters I like which also happen to include Venom and A.B.A to make side with A.B.A. and make Venom one of the later characters I learn because of how strict his execution while A.B.A would be easier. That is just my experience. Perhaps someone with more GG experience than I can say more.

I assume it’s easier - with a ton of training and character know-how - to hit ToD combos in Moroha/Goku Moroha Mode than Normal Mode, correct? Do all combo routes in Normal Mode all lead up to entering Moroha/Goku Moroha Mode, no matter what? Is it even truly possible to hit 100% damage in Normal Mode only? Just asking in case she ever makes it to StrIVe, because I don’t even know how radical or similar her gameplay changes will be in the new title. What is her character difficulty? And what would you say, gameplay-wise, is she similar to which characters in terms of her risk/reward style? To me, she’s a combo of Hisako (poor mobility) and Mira (certain abilities at the expense of health) from “Killer Instinct”. Do you agree?

She's pretty weak in normal mode and while not all Combos lead into Moroha transformations, it's better that they do. She's a Stance Character with a huge difference between both modes. If anything, she's closer to Ragna while he uses Blood Kain in the old BB games(Life cost in exchange for a buff and you counter that life cost with your own way to steal life from enemies) but turned up to eleven with ABA.

Why? Rekka as a general fighting game term is going to be far more useful to a newbie than Excision>Ruination>Damnnation, because it appears in far more games. The proper name isn't any more descriptive to someone unfamiliar with fighting games. As for not using the Japanese names, why? Do you call hadouken wave motion fist? Danzai and Conviction both tell you an equal amount about what the move actually does, ie nothing. The Japanese names pop up more, so why shouldn't they be used?

because they're trash, don't use it, the "ultimates" are basically replaced by goku moroha mode, the activation is +5 OB, staggers on hit, can be special special canceled so you can do 2 rekkas into goku moroha to extend the combos, and she just becomes even more insane in goku moroha mode, in the fgc we generally don't call them ultimates, we call it supers
