Ooh this is a pretty cool idea! It does make be wonder how the Angel's Heaven would actually occur. Even though the Roaring is still extremely vague, we are at least pretty sure that it is caused by opening Dark Worlds somehow. Maybe if all the Dark Worlds are sealed, then it happens? There is that weird door at the back of Ralsei's castle that seems like it has the Fountain behind it. Though I'm wondering why we would close it, and if it does get closed, then Ralsei shouldn't exist just like with the Roaring(unless he's got the ability to exist in the Light World who knows). If I'm going to go completely off the rails and come up with something, I'd say that maybe towards the end we get booted from Kris permanently and inhabit the vessel down in the Bunker Dark World. We seal that Dark World to escape and(if your previous theory is correct) sealing the bunker Dark world cuts off all the darkness supply so there's nothing left. With the Kris v Noelle thing, I'm not too sure. I can 100% see Kris fight Noelle in the Weird Route, but I also think that we wouldn't be controlling Kris in that case. Noelle listens to the Red Soul, not necessarily Kris. I can see a Kris boss fight where we control something else, let's just say the vessel for convenience, and we have Noelle in our party and under our control. Plus, in that situation, I'm pretty sure Susie would side with Kris so you can add in a bit more emotional devastation for that.

If the balance theory is correct then it would have to be the sealing of all the dark fountains (or at least enough to tip the scales) that causes the Angel's Heaven, or whatever the event is that causes the world to end before we go and seal the Angel's Heaven. If Noelle is the Angel analog for this story then I could see her becoming so determined that/powerful in at least one of the routes that any dark fountains she creates will be unique... like, maybe a "light fountain"? Queen does say she's awakened too much in Snowgrave, despite it seeming that people who are more determined are required to make dark fountains. Maybe if you're too powerful the world you create is such a pure dark fountain that it's actually light? It seems like combining the power of the shadow crystals is going to create a "pure crystal" at some point, so maybe it's a similar process? That's pretty crazy talk but who knows lol. As for Susie siding with Kris over Noelle in an ending where they go rogue... I think there might be some evidence against that. For one there's the shadow crystal dialogue in chapter 2 where Susie is glaring at you if you look at her through the crystal, there's also the repeated fact that Susie never follows our commands. The meta reason I think that is because of the mention of Chrono Trigger on the steam page, so spoilers for that incoming... Near the end of Chrono Trigger the main character is lost and you have to play as the rest of the party without him for some time. The main character, like Kris, is the center of most of the game's dual attacks (like Kris is the one who initiates dual acts and such) so once he's gone you really feel the weight of not having him. I believe that Deltarune might be doing the same with Kris, where Susie might become the leader of our party and we'll have to try to get by without Kris.

I have a really dumb idea about how it could happen, but idk if anyone would ever buy it. What if the Angel's Heaven is caused by opening LIGHT fountains in the light world? I mean, dark fountains can be opened while inside of each other. So shouldn't it apply to a theoretical light fountain as well? While the weird route is a third (something other) route.

@@guiltyflygon Interesting theory, but I don't agree that Noelle will be our enemy in ANY case. In a normal route, where we must expel the Angel's Heaven, it's obvious that there is a high probability that Noelle will be our enemy. In an alternative route... to which Snowgrave leads...Noelle cannot be our enemy. Just think about it. Noelle - is the opposite of the Roaring. We will fight it together with Susie and obviously WE (the player most likely we will move into a vessel) will control Noelle .... because that's the whole point of snowgrave, Noelle listens to US and not Kris. And the final boss will be Kris - because they will finally rebel against us (and most likely is a knight). I'm not sure what Susie will do, perhaps she will fight against us and Noelle to "save" her from our influence. Or we can manipulate her through Noelle... I don't know.

Another detail that might prove Noelle's rivalry with Kris is the fact that she snaps at them when you decide to give the Cyber City prize to her saying something like "You want a refund? Say that to my face, gosh!" Which was kinda weird
@guiltyflygon

I think that line was mostly comedic, though her having a bit of bottled resentment for Kris having a seemingly "normal" home life compared to hers could definitely be a thing. (Which I never really thought about before so thanks) After all, Kris does have two explicitly very supportive parents, even if they don't necessarily fully understand Kris, and their older sibling is going to come home eventually. Must be hard for Noelle to see Kris agonize over Asriel not being here for a few months when Dess is probably never coming back. (At least, not by normal means lol)

I had a similar theory regarding Noelle snapping (after her father dies -- her mother is distant, sister is missing and father is dying no one else has that much setup for the firing of Chekov's gun) and creating the angels heaven (where she brings back the dead characters in some glitched out state), you now have to seal "the angels heaven" in a tragic confrontation. Didn't they say that Susie is very important or something she is probably used to talk down Noelle ala mother 3 type final battle. Shes already wildly powerful (she was easily able to defeat Spamton neo which kris and the soul couldn't even scratch it, Noelle is setup as being a hacker of games so there could be some kind of fourth wall type scenario ala Flowey).

My current theory/guess is actually that there are 3 apocalypses in play 1 of light, 1 of dark and the third of Destruction With the defeat of the darkness of the Titans (my guess is that we will face each of the 3 Titans with a seperate party) the world is engulfed in darkness Completely, the heroes encounter the vessel and Kris falls, the deltawarirors/team of heroes fight the player as the vessel in the snow grave route Kris is able to stand and actually fight US with the power you've gained winning the fight it the ending proceeds the same way, in the normal route we bring Kris up and convince him we need to work together as ralsei becomes unable to fight and becomes a statue as in response to the dispersal of darkness the angel descends, and we realise that the player was always the true prince of the Dark and we have to fight through a gauntlet to reach the angle who is there to counteract the darkness which is now completely dispersed across the world (with only the soul capable of producing a resistance to its effects (which has been stated to hold the fate of the world) and we fight the angle either with a party of all the allied we've gained throughout our journey on the normal route to defeat the angel and banish its heaven and on the snow grave route we probably only get one ally or a small handful at best and have to face the angel alone defeating the angle we are able to restore the balance of light and dark by vanishing the angels heaven I honestly believe that in the last hour(not literally) its going to be revealed that ralsei isnt the actual prince of the dark but the vessel the player created is and on the snow grave route after defeating the angel we become the final apocalypse one of destruction and power holding the fate of the world in our hands and power strong enough to destroy heaven and the depths but though we saved the world it's now empty the endings the same the world is saved the light and dark are balanced and unified but

In specific the angels power is the opposite and equal to that of the dark and I believe the light will have power over truth/reality/the real and if Noelle becomes the angel/can harness the power of light she will attempt to use the power of reality to make a fantasy real

If Ralsei began as a cloaked figure, then uncloaked and looked shadowy, and finally revealed a white body, maybe he is actually the Prince from the Light rather than the Dark. That or he is being coerced away from the original role he was given.

i think kris and noelle are both angels in a way, but so are we. this is very similar to ut where there were multiple interpretations for the angel (asriel, chara, & frisk/us), but in dr it's us, kris, or noelle. or maybe even gaster. i still think the player is the true angel though and the game will end with us being banished.
@i010001
@i010001 Жыл бұрын
Oh, I was talking about something similar to this over on Tumblr a while back: Alignment! This doesn't have a lot of real evidence; it's mostly 'vibes.' But let me lay what there is out... - If you take Noelle to get the Moss, you get the "Moss Neutral" title for her. "Neither lawful nor chaotic to moss." This alone does not mean much other than you are expected to be familiar enough with RPGs in order to get the joke -`A lesser appreciated parallel to Deltarune is the Megami Tensei series. Especially in the early titles, you play as a high school student cast in a world of angels and demons who - unlike the rest of the party - has no access to magic, but who can command the party and can speak to enemies in order to recruit them or solve battles nonviolently. The protagonist of Shin Megami Tensei 1 is even a dead ringer for Kris when he is still a high-school student. I have read, somewhere, that a lot of the Act system in Undertale and Deltarune was inspired by Megami Tensei, and indeed, if you play some of the later games with an involved talk system where you have to memorize demons likes and dislikes? It really does feel rather Undertale-y. Heck, the series even has a minotaur guarding a barrier our of a dungeon as a recurring motif. This doesn't mean a lot... Except that Law/Neutral/Chaos is at the beating heart of that series about angels and demons And it has these traditions - You usually have your protagonist, a Neutral Heroine who will stick with you no matter your path, and a Law and Chaos hero who will oppose you depending on the path you walk. This is pretty notable given that this - so far - 100% slides in to Kris (non-magic using player character who recruits monsters,) Noelle (Neutral heroine who knows the main character and will follow you, to the point of being called Neutral in-game,) Ralsei (Generally lawful,) and Susie (Generally chaotic.) So, what's famous about Megami Tensei? Getting to choose your path between Law and Chaos, and getting different final bosses and the like because of that. So, is that parallel... Intentional? Does it mean anything? - It was stated in the Undertale anniversary stream that you originally had a route split in Chapter 1 between Ralsei and Susie depending on who you followed; It's a route split between violence and non-violence. So this idea that you choose between pacifism and violence - and this is a route split between Susie and Ralsei? Well, that's been recurring If this is Law/Chaos, Susie seems to have a particularly unusual play in this in that what she is rebelling against appears to be the game's systems. She's the one who won't listen to your commands. She is the one who implements Character Acts and removes them from Kris. She is the one who takes one look at the prophecy and says "Nah." She is the one who undermines Ralsei's choices. This is rather notable, given... - The game's super bosses have themes about rebelling against fate and their set path, which is pretty notable and obvious. This extends to their weapons - Ralsei's PuppetScarf destroys his healing entirely and makes him as physically strong as Susie, while Susie's Jevilsknife - though currently her most powerful weapon by a mere 1 attack - dramatically ups her magic and reduces the cost of RudeBuster. In other words, their push against a set path goes so far as to open your options to alternative character builds. So, thematically... Do you follow the obvious course, or choose to push against it? - Law and Chaos are elements listed among the Darkners. Jevil is listed as Chaos,Chaos. Pawniard, Tasque Manager, and a few others are listed as Order. So Alignment is actually brought up. What makes this especially notable is that Tasque Manager is... Kind of unusual. She, the Tasques, and Spamton are the only ones effected by the Elemental Pair systems so far. She has voice clips, which is rare. She is a more-or-less skippable boss. She effects the battle box's shape. And - perhaps most notably - She leads to an exceptionally rare and unique scene if you -don't- recruit her. If you fight Tasque Manager and don't recruit her, she is not there to tame the animals in Castle Town. This leads to them all hanging out in an alley with the Bloxer. The Bloxer talks about how "Lone wolves gotta stick together" and how they will "Make their own Dojo, for Introverts." This is pretty unique among interactions where you fail to get a recruit - This is not framed as a net negative, and in doing this the lonely Bloxer gets some companions. - Ralsei's castle town oddly has an upward-pointing arrow theme and recurring angel wings. A single, upward-pointing arrow is the lesser-known counterpart to the 8-pointed Chaos Star: Chaos extends possibilities in all directions, but follows them at random. Law pushes in one direction, cutting off possibilities. Angels are the archetypical Law race in the Megami Tensei games. - The Titans are sealed away in Tartarus in greek mythology; this is sort of a Hell-type setting; a kind of underworld/afterlife prison. This would parallel the Angel, who descends from Heaven. Now, don't get me wrong - this is a moon theory, and a weird one at that. Don't take that as gospel, and I think outright alignment would be... Weird, in this game. But, you know - going with the normal, expected route, or pushing against it? That is something I feel like is brought up a LOT. So, it was making me wonder about different routes. Can we actually choose between darkness and light, or law and chaos, or whatever? Is this going to split off - is that idea where you can side with Ralsei or Susie depending on choices going to be a thing? Could one lead us to an Angel, and the other to the Titans? It's uhh, food for thought, I guess. That's all to say I get a 'vibe' about choices leading to different routes - and not like, a pure Snowgrave option

When I first played through chapter 2 I never assumed that the roaring was the same thing discussed in the Legend. But everyone kinda just assumed it was, so I am glad someone else pointed it out. ooh.... so it's kind of like a ragnarok event, where there are seemingly both giant terrifying forces of light AND darkness fighting each other the pawns having a symbol on them doesn't seem like something insignificant because the first Dark World focused really heavily on the theme of two sides of a chess board. that has to mean that that symbol relates to one or both of light and dark sides of the board in some way. but without an obvious clue like the black pawns having a different symbol, it's not clear what it means.

I had a feeling that the Angel's Heaven was something to do with a "Utopia" of sorts, but it never once occurred to me that it could be Noelle's. I mean it makes a lot of sense. But I can't imagine Kris being the one to start the Roaring for only one reason; they're too soft. They let Susie walk all over them (from the Sweepstakes blog posts) and immediately forgive them, heck even in Chapter 1 they know exactly what Susie likes. And they were supposed to be enemies at that point, even before that! I just can't imagine someone like that causing the end of the world. UNLESS we start something? Like, maybe in the weird route we kill Susie? Toriel? Asgore? Leaving Kris in a "[Broken Home]", with no one, which sends them over the edge and causes them to start The Roaring in a last ditch effort to get rid of us? I'm kind of rambling here, but regardless, I think that the way the story is heading is very intriguing, it'll be good regardless of how it pans out.

I have never seen this detail pointed out, how the Titans/Roaring ending is different than the angels heaven. What makes me suspicious about this is that the Roaring ending is entirely teased in the normal route, not in Snowgrave. I think that these endings are going to be part of the main route depending on who you side with. Ralsei is going for the Angels heaven, and Noelle will go to the roaring maybe because she is going to fall in the darkness trying to find Dess of because of grief. I don´t feel that in the normal ending they are going to have a rivalry, but more like a conflict of what to do/ who to side with. That conflict could involve Ralsei. There is a lot of foreshadowing about a mage leaving the party and choosing between Noelle and Ralsei, so that could be involved with it. In the ending with Ralsei we will have to fight Noelle or the angel in that matter, and if we cause the roaring like Noelle wants the Titans. In the case of Snowgrave Ralsei was suspiciously vague to Queen, so the ending that will happen there is unknown, buuut if we have to speculate I would say that I feel that is very tied with the glitch huntin theme with Noelle, maybe we are just going to be very agressive manipulating everything and even that will not be the solution to anything. Also, having three save slots could tease about this three endings.

I don't think Gaster is the one responsible for linking us to Kris. Gaster is the one behind the Goner Maker, so he wanted us to create a custom Vessel for ourselves, but then someone else hijacks the process at the end, throws out the Vessel and links us to Kris. Speech patterns are consistent to Gaster (for the Goner Maker sequence) and Chara or a Deltarune equivalent of Chara (for the hijacking) respectively, and apparently that's even more pronounced in Japanese.

That's fair, I've seen arguments both for and against the idea that the narrator get's interrupted and I personally can't decide which to believe at the moment without further evidence. On the one hand, the typer value certainly does change, on the other hand it changes to a generic typer used my many characters so it could still be Gaster, just changed for emphasis... Probably intentionally vague lol. That said, other than Gaster I can't think of anyone meta enough to actually be able to interrupt Gaster's process expect maybe Demon Chara or Flowey, who shouldn't exist in this timeline... Unless there's some sort of concrete Undertale sequel stuff going on, which I just can't see being true.

@@guiltyflygon There are actually quite a few of characters in Deltarune that are still fairly mysterious and potentially powerful... the Knight, the Angel (unless that's just Noelle), the Titans, Mike (the guy who phoned Spamton), the entity trapped in the code (if that isn't just Gaster), etc. Any of these could be some kind of Chara equivalent, similar to how Deltarune Toriel is an Undertale Toriel equivalent without being exactly the same character. My money would be on the Knight. That said, I can't see Flowey make an appearance in Deltarune either, for the simple reason that their narrative space is already occupied by Asriel in one sense and Ralsei in another.

@@guiltyflygon Also, I remember someone pointing out how Deltarune searches for our Undertale save file file0, which is implied to have belonged to Chara; just because something doesn't exist in one timeline doesn't mean it can't be present in it. Chara is attached to use the player. This entity follows us. After all Toby created this game with the intention to be played by people who "finished" undertale, in other words, who did everything that the world had to offer, including Genocide... After all, one finishes a game by doing everything it has to offer. After all, Chara does say let's erase this world and move on to the next. I might be wrong tho.

Does a prophecy not necessarily have to be a prediction of something that will happen in the future? Otherwise it'd just be history, or Ralsei would phrase it as "a prophecy that has come to pass" or something. If the entire Legend is detailing events that prevented the Angel's Heaven and the Roaring, then why is Ralsei upset with Berdly for making more fountains in chapter 2? Maybe I'm just confused what you mean exactly, but the idea that the Roaring and Angel's Heaven are meaningless and have already been prevented seems like a pretty big leap given we know very little other than what Ralsei has told us.
@krazyivan9733
@krazyivan9733 Жыл бұрын
@guiltyflygon oh, they aren't meaningless, of course. They could have happened, but like I said, they have already been prevented. The point of the game is not that the apocalypses were prevented from happening, it's WHY the apocalypses were prevented that is the point. If you don't quite understand, think about Undertale for a moment. If the player chose all the choices that would lead to the end of that world, was there anyone who could actually prevent that from happening, at any point? The Roaring was never relevant to the prophecy. It's simply the consequence of having too many fountains open at once, something that is entirely preventable. The Awakening of the Angel was always the true danger.

what if it is three endings just like undertale fight noelle to prevent angles heaven, fight ralsei to cause the roaring cause he lied and we're convinced the roaring is not that bad idk, and kris goes rouge all of which are separate endings. different speculation: also consider how much kris is associated with chaos and how if kris is evil all he wants is to "win" by whatever means I have no evidence for that it's just the vibe I get from how he's described as weird in home town and how he acts in chapter epilogues. kris seems to have an agenda that at least looks bad from the players perspective whether that is self defense against us, or manipulation of us as the player, or bad things for good cause that kris hasn't explained or can't. ppossibly just simply wanting revenge for a loss of some sort. kris seems to have lost a lot of things from the green crayon, to asriel going to college, to stuck in fantasy of the dark world, to not having many friends/losing friends until we enter the picture the game starts and kris becomes friends with susie, who is whole can of rebellious chaos in and of itself. perhaps jevil and spamton relate to kris because in jevil's case kris relates on being chaotic and with spamton kris relates on being a puppet to us as the player or possibly to the so called agenda if we are to assume that kris has more influence than just us and themself. which can be gone down even further to does that mean that the secret bosses significance and the freedom theme isn't that they are special in the darkworld but that they are special or traits of kris like if kris is the creator of the fantasy we experience in the dark world like that one theory suggests I think it was a game theory one but not sure. or does kris have three souls like suggested by andrew cunningham which leads their influence as well or if jevil and spamton relate to kris and we suspect that they both went crazy cause they met or interacted with gaster in some way does kris have a connection to gaster too? will kris get a theme song that has the freedom motif in it? a completely different thought is that kris is a goner if we are to use undertale as a basis could that be why they're so emotionally cold and the way others interact with them is just kind of dull like a oh yeah you exist too very few characters actively seem to enjoy kris's presence. but I may have gone off the deep end I can tell that I'm pulling on threads that have no slack if you get what I mean. Idk I'm kind of um for lack of a better word coo coo on gaster brain at the moment. I'm not sure how much of this speculation is intriguing. i believe both the roaring and the angels heaven might happen, but only pacifism can defeat the angel, and only genocide can defeat the titans, i even made an script about how it would happen from chaper 3 to 7, also toby comfirmed the right path from now onis a neutral run. here: chapter 3 (area: home): the dark fountain would be left to solidify in the dark night (it is implied that dark fountains change in some way at night), thus creating a "mini roaring" some darkners turn into stone, some don't, and once you get to the final area it is supposed to be day so darkners turn to normal with a bit of light, and thus you can seal it. chapter 4 (area: flower king): i personally believe, since chapter 3, and 4 will be launched together, previously with 5 included, chapter 3, 4 and 5 will be about the dreemurrs and the holidays, being chapter 4 about asgore's relationship with rudy, in it, maybe we get to see a glimpse of the knight, just a glimpse. chapter 5 (area: church, graveyard and the forest): this one is about 3 characters, noelle, rudy, and dess, church because noelle, graveyard becase rudy might die and the dark fountain revives him(and gerson might appear as a goner since Gerson is a anagram of Goners) and forest because dess might be hiding somewhere. chapter 6 (area: bunker/depths and the roaring): in this chapter the knight caused the roaring, kris, susie, and noelle join forces to destroy the fountain made in the depths, first half is in the surface in which titans form, being like darker reflections of other darkners which you need to kill, you get in the depths and kill the 3 main titans. chapter 7 (area: surface/goner hometown, the light world cliffs, the holiday's home and the angel's heaven): this is the longest chapter, when you come back from the bunker, hometown is dusty, and snowy, some npcs are goners, some others are just confused, mainly darkners, ralsei joins the party, and you go in the holiday's territory, which you have to climb a cliff(opposite of chapter 1) to get in the mayor's home, in tthe cliffs you find goner darkners and have to spare them to proceed, you get to the top, in which the secret boss, FRIEND, (which i believe be a stand-in to chara) judges you because who doesnt love a judgement hall scene? if you did the full snowgrave, he will fight you, after fighting, (or being spared if you do pacifist) you get into the holiday's home, now a palace to the mayor/knight, you fight mayor holiday/the roaring knight, and you can finally ascend to the angel's heaven in which, you are forced to become the angel, yes YOU, the player, in this you gotta convince kris to not kill you, you eventually get spared but there is only one choice left and the ending won't matter, the choice is, martyr yourself, and join this world as the vessel and be kris' friend, or live on, as kris' friend, your choices don't matter, you will forever be with kris. oh yea you also get 3 epilogue chapters all 3 about entering abandoned worlds, killing 3 secret bosses and getting shadow crystals.(only available if you defeat all secret bosses)

If Kris is the knight, that would explain why they would create and seal the fountains. Each time you seal one, you gain a level! Aka, Kris gains _power_ . Why would Kris be trying to gain _power_ ? To break free from our control. Just like Spamton

Look here it's because and this is 100% going to happen so heed my words.. Rolls-Royce is the angel. The world keeps getting reset by gaster because he likes choice. Raul say keeps trying to finish the pacifist ending every time where everyone ends up in the castletown submarine then Raul says hey, I'm the angel. Congratulations! You did it. So the roaring can definitely happen if everybody ends up in the submarine.. from there I don't know.

Ok i gona ask somting stupid Is monster soul Bloking Determenesio? Lice Let's say Flowy: -no soul with Determenesion could Make him Save and re-Load for sooo and soo long and Other stuff And Undyne: -a Monster soul + Strong and Detemension still can't beat you
@guiltyflygon
@guiltyflygon Жыл бұрын
I think in that case of Undyne it's more the fact that Frisk can retry over and over due to being able to save/load and learn her patterns that lets them beat her, rather than the fact she's a monster. After all, that's why Sans knows the only way to stop the player is to make them give up. Determination seems to act somewhat differently in Deltarune too, so it's hard to really say anything conclusively this early on!

9:09 I don’t think deltarune will have only one ending to the game. The one ending thing to me always meant chapter 1 had only 1 ending which it did not the entire game.
@guiltyflygon
@guiltyflygon Жыл бұрын
I think it would be a little strange to start the game with hard statements like "there's only one ending" and "your choices don't matter" if they're only applicable for one chapter. That'd be like if Susie just disappeared from the game after chapter 1... I could see the story eventually subverting the one ending and no choices set up, but for it to do that they'd have to be a significant part of the game first to make it worth it. Also it's important to note that, despite having two routes, chapter 2 does also end with Kris creating the fountain in the exact same circumstances regardless.

@@guiltyflygon yeah fair point its just my personal theory is that hes setting this whole “one ending” thing up as a red herring because you can at least interpret it as not lying about the chapter 1 thing and that we’re all going to get blown away when there are more endings or something. Overall its probably just the copium from wanting more endings and I’m probably wrong but its *possible*

@@krisspychissp A line from Toby Fox deltarune FAQ that goes like this: "Question: Will there really only be one ending to the game? Toby Fox Answer: Yes, but there is something more important than just reaching the end" Seems pretty legit to me.

Light vs Dark Huh..?
@guiltyflygon
@guiltyflygon Жыл бұрын
As in, the light world (reality) vs the dark world (fantasy). It seems to be a running theme for the characters to prefer their lives in the dark worlds, so a conflict (particularly for Noelle and Kris), on which world to choose seems evident. And then extrapolating from that with the two routes it seems fairly reasonable to assume that Kris may choose one of the worlds in either route. I'm not sure if you were actually confused or I just misunderstood your comment lol 😅

i think the Nowgrave rout is the first step towards the "Noelle Rout" in which we ether make Noelle falling in love with Kris or Noelle pulls a Skies Forever Blue and falls in love with the player and mirroring Dess. i think the full Weird route is us rebeling against the prophesy but if we only engage with the Weird Route then Noelle is effected we as/and kris will stand with Noelle at the end
