@Utred Bee it looks garbage. And just because it won some trivial ‘award’ doesn’t mean it’s the best. The hands down best shakers are the original, genuine branded ‘blender bottles’. They are the ones who came up with the wire ball. The quality of the plastic, the strength and fitment of the closure of the lid, and the leak proofing of the lid thread as well as cap are so soooo far ahead of anything else. This is garbage and they can’t just give the award to blender bottle as they’ve been around for ages, but They Are the best. This thing looks crap and I certainly wouldn’t trust it not to leak.

Actually this deal was better for him, the business hadn't made any money yet and investing now would be a punt, Tej was thinking a lot about this issue, he was having trouble deciding if was worth risking his cash, same with Deborah, by giving half of the money it's less of a risk, plus he got 15% which was more than was initially being offered, both of them compliment each other on what they can bring to the table, Deborah with Marketing and Tej with his vitamin business, this worked out well for everyone

Seeing the newer iteration of the product... I can say that this really is a game changer. The lack of the mesh and metal ball + rounded corners... it makes it entirely different from the rest. You've got to realize that the people who this is marketed to, probably would use this like 4-5 times a week. And it gets really tedious to wash it... with the metal ball, to keep track of where it is + clean it. Rounded corners also makes all the sense. With the typical long bottles with the metal ball, you really REALLY need a brush, because most of the time, you'd get the powder stuck on the corners. With this, the recommended cleaning procedure is just to put in water and shake. Good product. Ofc more expensive. I'd buy it and sell it in my gym if it was cheaper *AND* that it was available in my country.

Not really. You still have to get a bottle brush in to clean the bottom on occasion and I’m 6’2 and have big hands and can assure you my hands wouldn’t fit in the bottom of this. So it’s not advantage over any other shaker

That was actually quite poor from Deborah in my opinion. She made an offer of half the money for 10% but changed it based on Tej's offer to wanting 15%. Could you imagine the outrage if the shoe was on the other foot and the entrepreneur decided to change his offer midway through negotiations, from his original offer of 10%, and reduced it to 5%? Don't think Deborah would be too long in throwing her toys out of the pram.

I had a version of a shake-bottle like that. It was sold cheaply alongside diet shakes in the supermarket. It had straight corners and a small spring in the shape of a ball inside. It never clumped and the spring did a very good job of aerating the shake. It did a perfect job... for all of 5$.

Because if you were to go on and make 1 million in profits each year you'd have to give them 300k of that money every single year. In just 10 years that would be 30 million pounds you'd give to them. Or you lose everything because you don't have any dragon at all. That's the choice they have to make. Lose a percentage of your company, but have a higher chance to succeed, or keep the entire company but stand a much higher risk of failure.
